  • Passover marks the beginning of the year, both liturgically and agriculturally, symbolizing new creation and the start of God's people. Through the Exodus, God saved and redeemed us, fulfilling His promises to the patriarchs and matriarchs. Passover serves as a memorial and reenactment of the Exodus, inviting us to actively participate, not just as readers, but as part of the story. Each celebration of Passover reminds us that the Exodus is a current event that we continue to commemorate. Watch today’s message, "As If You Were There," to explore the significance of remembering and reenacting the Exodus!

WOW !!! I just love your excitement over the scriptures. I love how you show us the Hebrew words for " hardened heart" and the Greek word for "departure". I also loved how you explained the Egyptian religion that God used against Pharaoh. I look forward each week to see what new thing I will learn about the scriptures. Thank you.

Yeah the hardening thing always confuses people. To me it makes total sense: if God didn't force Pharaoh to stick to his true beliefs and feelings, rather than react out of fear, then God would just be a bully, flexing his muscle to get what he wants. He continued to punish him for what he WOULD do, were he powerful enough to stand up to a god, by not letting him chicken out until his heart truly moved (slightly, and temporarily) when his son died. That's the kind of victory God prefers.
