No More Brother Wars

- It all began with the assassination of Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914, and would result in World War I-a brother war that would tear the West apart. The King of England, the Kaiser, and Tsar Nicholas were all blood related cousins. To this day, no one really knows how, exactly, or why WWI happened. But it did. And it opened the door for chaos that led to World War II and the rise of men like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini.
Today, Reformed Christians are quick to go to war with each other, but this only weakens any attempt to rebuild Christendom. Our enemies make progress against us because, as Cain killed Abel, we are too quick to destroy those with whom we share 98% of theological principles. How can we work together instead? How can we maintain distinctives and differences without destroying one another? We will discuss in this episode.

!! NO MORE BROTHER WARS !!
Literally closed the podcast to see Dan’s disappointed face.
It needed to be experienced.
Same🗿
Thankyou for posting on TH-cam!! Much more convenient!
You don’t know who started the wars? Just look at who funded it, and which group of people have benefited the most since then.
Man this was so good-I really really needed to hear this with everything that’s going on these days.
This is what we’ve all been waiting for ❤
I'm always thankful for these episodes. Somehow World War I is often skipped over. I used to work in the public school system and my father was a history teacher. It amazes me the sheer amount of time history classes spend in the Civil War and World War 2. Almost half the year and in some cases more and if you add the the Revolutionary War and the Great Depression it's almost as if nothing else matters. If everyone will please say prayer for my sister she's having surgery soon
this is sooooo well done!
Thank you!
This was my first time listening to your podcast. What a refreshing conversation! Thanks for sharing.
☦️ I hadn't listened to much from anyone prot/evangelical in about a year, and stumbled on this from the Canon/Apologia side (used to listen to them, before becoming Orthodox).
I'm glad I found this and your other videos on the situation, and I definitely appreciate the restraint, charity, and clarity here.
Hopefully you all become big O Orthodox though, since you keep throwing the small o around so much. Then the unity wouldn't be nominal, and things like that "Antioch Statement" would be laughably unnecessary.
Come home guys.☦️
Praying for you.☦️
Great to hear/see y’all brothers again and great encouraging 1st episode!
Great talk, thank you, Brothers! It was crazy to hear y'all talk about Rich Lusk. He and his wife were our youth group leaders forever ago. I'm a grandparent now, so I really mean a long time ago. But my sisters and i remember them fondly because they took the time to explain the Doctrines of Grace to us when were trying to figure those verses out. Rich Lusk has been building up the Body of Christ since he was a young thunder-pup!😂
Been hoping he'll become Orthodox. We actually appreciate his work on infant salvation, though we might not agree with all of it. I grew up Southern Baptist, so we didn't talk about that kind of stuff. All my kids are baptized Eastern Orthodox now though, and receive the Eucharist regularly.
This should be required listening. Well done guys.
It's nice to see you guys back on YT! And with video too! New sub here!
Love this podcast/episode.
Rich lusk is amazing. His essays have been very helpful to my views on sacraments/systematic theology, and the need for catholicity .
Really love what yalll are doing with the catholicity as well. Huge supporter! Keep it up brothers!
Well done guys! Nothing more needs to be said except to add that we need wisdom to when to speak. To reiterate, don't react when you're tempted to push that "send" button. Ask the Lord to give you a spirit of brotherly love and kindness as we seek always to edify. Encouraging one another to fight the good fight of the faith. Also to recognize good questions and a good heart from those who would intentionally seek to divide. Finally, to seek humility and forgiveness and reconciliation wherever possible in cases where we open our mouths....and insert our foot. Lord Bless!
Its good to see you guys.
The interviewing people on other ends of the reformed spectrum sounds healthy
Come for the video, stay for the Just Meme War Theory
One thing rarely mentioned about WWI is that the Austro-Hungarian Empire had veto power on the election of the pope I believe and stood in the way of getting modernist popes elected.
awesome guys! God bless you!
I have 2 questions. Are Catholics, 7 day adventist, and Orthodox brothers? Next question, is the second N in Conn silent?
Back on TH-cam?!
So back.
@@thekingshall1606 timely message that many of us, I’m sure, needed to hear.
On one hand, I do think impersonal social media has worsened the divisions between fellow Christians. The 2005 MySpace days had less vanity, less grifters, less Neuralink-like quarantined zombies plugged in 24/7, & less overall contentiousness between people across the board. In the last few years, we've also seen a shift from more intelligent-ish debate to that of drama heavy cat fighting & meaningless bickering
But on the other hand I do believe sound theologicall doctrine must be paramount as well, as it shapes every single aspect of our lives. This topic specifically is admittedly outside of my depth absolutely, although I would say, that it is certain that our beliefs & our faith affect every single thought, word, & deed that we make in this life, and it surely matters
Additionally, I think we must also admit that at least to some degree, any type of inter-Christian sect conversion by a 2nd generation son or daughter (and coming from a devout 1st generation family which sometimes extends centuries from descendants) is guaranteed to cause enormous friction & division between fellow family members, extended family, friends, community members, & even coworkers/employers at times etc). How this circle can be peacefully squared to unite a geographically enormous, multi-ethnic, & "experimental" nation from it's very foundation is a tremendously difficult challenge, to say the least. Not an excuse or justification for inaction, but my hope remains in my master Jesus Christ, and with that, I know that He has always offered to us every thing we could ever possibly need. That said, I know I have to be better for Him & what a difficult (though worthy) challenge this has been for me
Anyways, I like you Pastor Brian & I wish the best for you & your entire family. I see you as an honest, godly man who lives in Christ more than fearing the world so you have both my ear & my respect 🙏
Never mind the phone in a disagreement. Face to face.
I would be very interested to see you guys engage in discussion with Sean Feucht!
Do we really know that we all are affected by sinful nature IN us and by the sinful effects of this world of deceptions orchestrated by the ruler of this world?
Should we ourselves be open to rebuke by our brothers in Christ if they are able to reveal to us some worldly precepts or fallacious logic that we still use but learned it before being born again?
Like Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10:5
"as we tear down speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,"
We should be open for other helps to tear down our own unbiblical philosophies and get a thicker skin being less offended.
Both world wars were wars for the fate of Eastern Europe. It's a "Western Civil War" to the extent you can consider the Russians/Slavs as "western".
Where are all the lights and trinkets? Are y’all even youtubers?
This felt more like a pastoral conversation from men that lead well than a podcast.
This is a great comment lol
Wait is something wrong with haunted cosmos?
Thank you 🙏🏻☦️🤍🎯💯
Fine and dandy but James, Sandlin, and many others should be consistent and treat Wolfe as a brother in Christ and stop with the accusations and slanderous comments.
Been thinks this for awhile. We are so weapped up in fighting on brothers in christ. You guys are rubbin off on me
I almost weep listening to the intro.
Four questions:
1) Was the Reformation of the 16th century a bad "brothers war"?
2) Are you equating "Christendom" with the church?
3) When you say "we are one people" who do you mean by the "we"?
4) Does systematic hate of a people group make you an heretic, especially those who teach such things?
1) Prots killed papists and other Prots for decades. Of course that's bad.
2) sounds like they might be.
3) great question. How's that nominal/superficial "invisible church" thing working out?
4) Depends on the definition of "heretic". Unrepentant sinner, failing to love and pray for enemies, failing to see the Icon of God in all men created in His Image... Definitely. Not probably heresy though, unless the hate is specifically rooted in false dogma/ doctrine (ethnophyletes, etc.).
Where is the rest of season 3?
Currently it's only on podcast feeds. Search "The King's Hall" anywhere podcasts are found.
We will be uploading static image video versions of those episodes over the next 6 weeks or so as we revamp this channel with the addition of a true video version of each episode.
@@thekingshall1606
Awesome! Some of them look pretty good.
☦️ Praying and hoping you guys come home to the true unity of the fullness of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. You guys remind me of the best of my Baptist days, and I think you'd be right at home in an Eastern Orthodox Church.
Where did you get that beautiful wallpaper?
@Brian_sauve I need to know this too
I don't agree with your position on Chtistendom/Christian Nationalism.
I THOROUGHLY agree with the bulk of this podcast on how to treat professing brothers. I may not watch another podcast, but I truly hope God blesses your lives and ministries.
Yea but what about the jews?
The JQ… what is the answer? What is the solution?
So, in the previous audio only episodes, were you guys still wearing blazers and button downs?
Would it make sense for Ogden and Joel’s church to come under the wing CREC under the leadership of Doug Wilson? For accountability, clarity etc 1:24:13
☦️ EO here. No dog in the fight.
Why should they?
Are CREC or Doug normative authorities, beyond the bounds of their respective parishes/denominations?
What is the Rumble channel?
I’m not finding it.
We are still getting it set up, you're not crazy! We'll add a link to show notes once it is.
Are we going to also unite with conservative Catholics and Orthodox Christians who are willing to work with us?
Politically, this is a no-brainer. I believe the US is and ought to be a Protestant nation, but this doesn't preclude political partnerships of this sort.
-Brian
@@thekingshall1606 I agree, and I want to preserve our Protestant heritage. I think it’s easy though to be either too polemical or too ecumenical. While I love my Catholic and Orthodox brothers in Christ, we do have differences for a reason. Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to the next Patreon release for Haunted Cosmos!
@@LiamSGue
Well, this seems troubling. You want to preserve our "Protestant heritage" but call Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox "brothers in Christ".
If that kind of thinking is widespread in Protestant political thinking it won't be long before the term Protestant is no longer meaningful.
@@BossBattle21 it was the Reformers who said that the Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians were true Christians. We’d be uprooting the greater catholicity of our tradition in denying that. That also doesn’t mean we can’t preserve our nation as Protestant.
@@BossBattle21 Whose mixing faith and politics now?
For the algo!!!
So who was the last great Christian Prince? Kuyper? American (faint) version Cal Coolidge?
Sainted Martyr Tsar Nikolai II of the Romanov empire of Holy Rus.

Dope
Probably demonetized before you were even half way through!😂😂😂
Nah, TH-cam loves us. They'll definitely signal boost us every day. 😂
I'm pretty sure as soon as he implied spreading western civilization was a good thing instead of REEEING "white colonizer bad" the fate was sealed
Giga chad energy
By "post war consensus disrespecter" careful you are not just rebranding Holocaust denial.
And you need to bring the receipts. I have not seen that at all yet.
Keep looking brother. Lots of books written on the subject by lots of prominent scientists and scholars. Keep looking. Make haste, slowly.
@nicholaspeters6127 I care not for "scholars" .... the only stuff of this post war consensus denial that is being authored.... is being authored by people who would worship Hitler and their ethnicity rather than Jesus.
