Hey gang! A Creator friend said people might take the intro wrong, so I wanted to say, if you're streaming for fun, do whatever! I just hold myself to a high standard because I love creating, and want to be better! Everyone is different, and this is just the logic I used to become a Full-time Creator!
Think of it this way: if you just «do whatever», but focus really hard on «doing whatever» the best you can, and then go through what you did and find ways to improve the next time, then you will *actually* get good, and have fun doing it :) That’s how I got my youtube-channel going 9 months ago, not giving a fu** but yet still trying to improve and learn for every video, not caring but making an effort :)
How do you watch the Army/Navy game as a veteran of both branches!? Army 2000-05... Try not to let the low numbers discourage you. the only views I get are from my fellow sim racing buddies when they are at work. My goal is to constantly work on my presentation. with a sometimes glitchy internet connection, I am working toward recording/editing.. no idea how to do that yet but if I record a few races a week or make some highlight video, then delay post it, maybe that opens a door. Keep in mind we are trying to do this for fun.. if you're having fun, it's always worth it!! Best of luck to you!!
Main reason? I stream because I want to make any challenge possible within any game and be able to apply the confidence and achievement to everyday life. Positive gaming.
I’d say the biggest tip for me as a beginner content creator is by FAR turning off the ability for my to see my live viewers! Not only imo should I be speaking the same whether it’s 1 or 100 viewers in my stream, but also even in the case no one watches, the commentary turns into long and short form content I feel is invaluable for visibility!
My reason for streaming is that I enjoy playing video games and share it to people, I'm 36 years old and new to streaming but everyday is a learning curve. But what is important is that I really enjoy and love playing videogames
I started streaming 2months ago + uploading some youtube videos. The reason why i started streaming is because i wanna share my favourite game with other people and i wanna help the game community grow. It is an extremely small game, so i know i won't have hundreds of viewers, but my streams are having way more support than i expected and i already reached affiliate a week ago. I had 0 idea about video edditing so i started watching tutorials and puting a huge amount of effort on them and it's going quite ok. What you say in your videos is completly right, and most of the time is about the midset that you have. At the end i stream for fun and my goal is not making a living out if this, but even if i have a different goal, i won't make it without following the facts that you mention on your videos. Everyone should have a goal, and you must be critic with yourself if you wanna improve.
Hey coach, I’m planning to stream soon. I have created the entire set up and just got a few things to mull over in terms of extensions and OBS. I’m content creator from Dubai turned streamer thanks to your videos! ❤
Just had my first Twitch stream tonight and had so much fun. I'am a DJ category streamer and started to do it simply to have fun and share some good music with community. Been watching a lot of your videos before starting streaming and they were super helpful. Thank you so much!!!!!!! 🎉❤❤
Great video, and its good to see you've returned to putting out regular content. I had to start over because i was a variety streamer that dejays, but also played games. SO now I am starting over so i can carry on my music stuff, and not lose clips and vods from my other channel, and it is daunting starting over but its also exciting
My reason is that I enjoy chatting to people while I play games. I've recently switched from playing games I enjoy but find stressful (Souls games) to things I just find fun. Am hoping people will pick up on my more positive content and enjoy it!
sprinkles on a turd!?.. well, I certainly fit THAT description!! LOL. This had some good points to offer for my situation. I wrote down some questions about my goals for what I do. I can't say I have anything wild in mind. A few viewers and possibly learning and growing with what I do is the main purpose for now. sort of a "lets see if I can make this work and have some fun watching it back". Simracing is a pretty small slice of the pie so I don't expect earthshattering numbers.. and I can't stream regularly due to my work schedules, so I don't plan on making it my revenue source.. if I made enough to pay for my iRacing subscription each year, that would impress me for now! Great video as far as I can be concerned. It's fun to learn from people who are successful at what they do!!
This video is honestly so good. I feel like i have been "trying" to create content for years now, by "trying" I mean I am doing, i just don't think its amazing or anything, and my views i guess agree lol. but Something about completing a new video, or ending a stream with the one chatter who just hung out the whole time. or uploading a 3rd short. Just makes my overall day feel better. feel so accomplished after uploading something new. okay anyways keep up the dope content!
my reason is because i don't want all the time i spend playing games to be a waste of my time, i want to make great content for people to enjoy and also to bring a smile to their face whether they are having a good or a bad day :)
Sir. I am in need of professional help. I have trouble focusingnon gameplay while im talking. So there are periods of dead air. Is this something that can get better with practice?
I stream because I’ve loved gaming, hanging out with friends and tech my entire life, I could edit a video for 7 hrs straight and still have a smile on my face knowing that I’m doing the thing I love, for a quick answer, I love gaming, I love friends, and what’s better then doing both and building a name for yourself, that’s answer 1
You should do a video about how to multi stream! It's a new thing in the streaming world, and I think k it's helpful to new streamers!! Yk, get as many eyes on your content as possible
To be honest i just wanted to entertain people :). I love playing games and being myself so I thought why not give it a try. So far I feel very supported by the people close to me and I'm excited for the journey. Your videos helped me a lot in order to get the courage
Any advice to get into the 10+ category? I have an average of around 7-10 but not sure how to grow from there. 😊 I get people coming in but not a lot actually stay 🤷🏽♂️
I’m planning to succeed, I see growth in my streams, and even if I don’t I don’t care I’ve built an audience, maybe it’s 10 people but 1 day it will be 11 then 20 etc, I just show my personality, and make brothers and sisters on the way
I stream because it's fun to connect with people over games and things we enjoy together, and it's nice to have people to talk to while I play my silly video games.
“You can’t put sprinkles on a turd and expect it to become edible” is so much like my “most delicious turd in the toilet” analogy. 😂😂 it can be used in many contexts when someone is bragging about something mediocre but I usually bring it up when someone says America is the best country in the world (thus deserves no criticism), I usually reply “that’s like being the most delicious turd in the toilet. It’s still shit and even though you would, I wouldn’t eat it”
Need more income. Working on my disability and it should be finished soon but unsure if I will be approved or denied. Basically, my pc died and i am streaming on the console. I enjoy it whether it succeeds or not doesn't matter to me as long as I'm enjoying myself.
I realized I didnt really like streaming but If i want to make a video but dont have the time. I know i can put on a stream and conk out and thats when I realized that I didnt like streaming so Im going to save it for days like my birthday a day when i can have fun. If anyone comes in great if not I at least had fun. However i do want to try out shorts stream because that is how people are growing nowadays and figuring out how to do it will make me feel great cause i learned something new
i can stream for 0 or 1 viewer for 1/2 years, im not quitting, i will continue to improve the experience on my stream, streamers that actually made it only made it bc they believed themselves, and i believe in me. Thx for the advices. Edit: and i dont care if i gain millions of dollars or just some thousands, i do it bc i love it.
I stream, but I wouldn’t call myself a “streamer” really. I’m a gamer that streams it. Watching my VODS back I’m definitely growing into… something… maybe a streamer, but I mainly do it because it’s fun! I like meeting new people and learning about them! I love the chatters. I want to make friends to play online games with too! So far I’ve made friends all over the world. Streaming is exciting. You never know what’s going to happen or who you’re going to meet. I think what makes my streams unique is wholesome engagement. I see a lot of what gets streamed out there and I’m not into that. I genuinely am interested in how people are doing. Not just that they’re watching me stream. I have plans to do other types of streams in the future. I’m getting there. It really is a process.
Because I enjoy streaming and making content. Because I like doing collabs with other streamers. And to get myself playing more horror games. Yes, I want to make content. I do enjoy making content. I am trying, but not hard enough. I am trying by making content that's unique to me and no one else even thinks of. I'm being entertaining by being a menace in games, thinking of creative ways to cause trouble. Zero viewers doesn't hold me back. Making content is up to me, after all. There, I did my homework!
G'day, mate. I'm not a streamer, but I make TH-cam videos for the passion and enjoyment of the content creation process. I have a physical disability, and my channel is unique because I have to overcome challenges to compete with other competitors in my chosen sport, bench-rest shooting.
1. I want to practice DJing and streaming on a regular schedule is holding me accountable 2. Planning to succeed 3. I enjoy making my content, sometimes I might feel like skipping my scheduled stream, but as soon as I hit that start stream button in OBS Studio, I‘m enjoying every second of it. 4. What makes my stream unique is the tunes that I spin. I‘m not easily put in a shoebox, because I play whatever the hell I like, which is sometimes considered an acquired taste but those that love it will come back for more. 5. No - if I said I don‘t envy people that do similar content but have multiple more viewers, I would be lying, but at the same time, I‘m doing this mostly for fun, viewers are an added bonus. When I got started, one of the most helpful tips was to move any display of current viewers out of sight and don‘t waste any thought on how many people are watching and start acting the same way for 1 viewer that you would of you had 100
I stream, because I want to share my experiences with games that I rather enjoy due to in my experience finding it hard to find youtube content or stream content for games I like. I also stream due to the benefits of being able to have my 9-5 job and have the possibility of being just big enough to make very little money from it cause being too massive seems too stressful. Here's my answer.
My Reason I'll admit a bit selfish at first but to make it a job & be known around the world (In a good way) because I genuinely have fun streaming and making content, and Make a space for people to be comfortable, safe, themselves.
I wanna make people laugh at my jokes and meet other people that are just as nerdy as I am it is my target to build an organic happy comunity where people support each other in challenges and tech difficulties and just about everything else
I am streaming at average 0 viewers but got some higher views on my last stream and it was totally different just because talking to chat makes it way easier I am not saying you can not be interresting without chat but with chat it is way more fun because you actually get feedback
Hey i'm a new streamer and i actually am growing but extremely slowly, i get 10 likes on my clips, i feel like i put alot of creativity in my clips and streams. I also have about 6 watchers in stream which im very gratefull for and i only streamed for 3 weeks now so maybe its normal and people have yet to discover me?
I've visited a few Twitch partner's TH-cams and Tiktoks, they barely have any followers/subs/views on those platforms (where they mostly just repost their Twitch streams or clips). Many advice videos say to make content elsewhere to be discoverable but not a lot of people will go over to Twitch from other platforms. Granted it's more likely you'd convert people if you're making *unique* content on other platforms versus just re-uploading streams/clips. For me I've accepted that fact that it's okay if people don't come to my Twitch and that a small following on TikTok where I post most of my better Twitch clips is fine, getting even just a few likes on a clip means I at least got something out of my stream even if I didn't have many viewers at the time of streaming it. Also some people say they just want to see highlights/best clips because they find streamers "too boring" otherwise and that's okay too.
So there are two reasons why a Twitch partner might not have a TH-cam channel or TikTok That is successful as the reason they grew. First reason, they started a very long time ago, and they grew when it was less competitive. Second reason, They grew due to special circumstances, for example a lot of partners with 100 to 300 viewers grew during Covid however now they are stuck in that area and can’t get bigger without some sort of giant collaboration or making external content. On the surface, it looks like they haven’t needed external content in order to grow, but if you dig around, you’ll see reasons why they were able to do what they’ve done, that likely most won’t be able to do. It’s the same as people saying, “ I can make funny moment videos or let’s on TH-cam, XYZ creator does that!” But then you have to explain the creative referencing has been uploading for 10 years.
I actually disagree on you with the 15 viewers thing I know how hard it is for people to grow on twitch in general so if anyone got 15 I wont judge them because twitch doesnt really push people except the top guys
if you're streaming for money you wont make it but if you're streaming because its a hobby and you enjoy it you'll make it but no matter what let me say believe in yourself because you got this it might be zero viewers for a while but thats fine anyways hope you all have an amazing day
I always enjoy these videos. They bring actual actionable tips to the table. I struggle with the first question, with the goals... but I love accessing the creative side of myself, and I really don't do well in traditional work settings. Fear of failure is huge for me. I'm trying to push through the difficult parts to prove to myself that I can get better by trying and not just give up at the first sign of difficulty. I don't know what is unique about me. I don't know how to be appealing. But I want to try. I don't know how it will go, but the friends and community I've made through other streamers inspire me to want to put something out there. I don't know how to find the balance between thinking too hard or too little about streaming, but I'm trying to focus more on doing SOMETHING. I tried a few years ago to stream on Twitch. It went okay, and I even got 150 followers and averaged about 8-10 viewers. Then, I got overwhelmed with the "supplementals" (overlays, alerts, etc) and just stopped. When I decided to try again, it was here on TH-cam. I'm trying to go with something more simple, to focus on the streams/videos/shorts themselves. I want to prove to myself that I can personally grow and learn a skill that is difficult to master. Obviously, I would love to have it pay the bills. But I am trying to "set myself up for success" while also being realistic
Hey gang! A Creator friend said people might take the intro wrong, so I wanted to say, if you're streaming for fun, do whatever! I just hold myself to a high standard because I love creating, and want to be better! Everyone is different, and this is just the logic I used to become a Full-time Creator!
Personally, I think it's very important to be critical of yourself if you actually want to grow and improve. Even if it's difficult.

It’s the same as people saying, “ I can make funny moment videos or let’s on TH-cam, XYZ creator does that!”
But then you have to explain the creative referencing has been uploading for 10 years.
I gave up streaming
I actually disagree on you with the 15 viewers thing I know how hard it is for people to grow on twitch in general so if anyone got 15 I wont judge them because twitch doesnt really push people except the top guys
I am streaming because I want to entertain others and have fun with human interaction as an extrovert
People who go live from console with no Mic and Camera.. 👀...

@@StreamScheme I just got my first subs on twitch today, thanks for the vids and advice/knowledge
im streaming because im lonely
Why are you streaming?
My answer: Everything Lj just said.
if you're streaming for money you wont make it but if you're streaming because its a hobby and you enjoy it you'll make it but no matter what let me say believe in yourself because you got this it might be zero viewers for a while but thats fine anyways hope you all have an amazing day
I always enjoy these videos.
