They’re not the same though. Angels share is a cinnamon role with cognac dessert. Side Effect is more like a sweet candied vanilla rum … it’s like a sweet tart candy
I have both. I actually think Angel Share is a better scent, but I wear side effect more because for some reason I just find it matches and fits me more. Im weird thst way 😅. Same with carlisle and naxos, i think naxos is the classier and better scent but I wear carlisle a lot more and find myself smelling myself all day whenever i wear it
I have side effect. Maybe it's just be, but I just don't smell it like I thought I would. I heard people were wowed. I'm not saying it's bad. It just seems like it doesn't grab attention.

Anyhow, got a sample of angels share from Sephora the other day and the 1st thing that came to my mind when I smelled it was SE, but more intoxicatingly yummy somehow. I'm so glad you said these are similar. I was at Neiman Marcus last week to try Side Effect. On first sniff, it reminded me of Angel Share, one I own, and the perfume representatives were looking at me like I was crazy when I stated the similarities. Thanks to validating my "scentalation". Lol
Some of the people who work at Neiman Marcus so full of BS. They will lie and insult you to try and guilt you into buying something.. they do it all of the time. Nordstrom is a [much] more pleasant experience for testing fragrances.
Bit late to the party but id like to make a recommendation. Try layering these two fragrances together. Angels share first. Wait bout 5-10 min and layer on side Effect. Youre welcome.
I wonder if side effect has been reformulated? I have a 5ml of side effect and full bottle of angels share, and the side effect I have is way more beast mode than than angels share. I wanted to get side effect but if the performance was nerfed and now performs worse than AS, I might reconsider. For me side effect is a going out fragrance, and that had ti do with its performance. But perhaps that isn’t the case anymore?
Side Effect is very long lasting! I wore it last night! 💚 I love both fragrances. I’m not sure if it has been reformulated. I bought my bottle in 2020. I think.

I may have misunderstood the video saying it wasn’t long lasting, because the 5ml I have is long lasting and has nice projection. It’s a bit of coin so I want it to perform like the decent I have. But the scent is amazing. Thanks again
Thank you for the huge effort and time you put on your videos, i’ve read some reviews on Fragrantica for Side Effect, i noticed there’re many people say that it has a top medicinal note like when you visit a doctor’s clinic and it feels synthetic … is that really true or somehow true ?
@@EssentiallyJessi i’ve got the full bottle, it smells great but the performance is not excellent, 5 hours of longevity and 1-2 hours of projection, i don’t know why.
@@muradjam I sprayed a sample spray of Side Effect on my wrist at about 5Pm it projected off my wrist the whole night. Took a shower the next morning and I can still get very faint whiffs of it on my skin. It's definitely a beast mode fragrance for some.
Angels share smells very similar to the original apple Brandy. Apple Brandy doesn't smell the same as it used it. It's like a completely different fragrance.

That's crazy you compared this to angel's share. I thought based on the notes it would be closer to black phantom. I have angel's share and it is very intoxicating. However, I don't want scents in my collection that smell similar. Going to neimans tomorrow to see even though I ordered a sample this weekend I'm impatient! 🤣🤣🤣
@@EssentiallyJessi so I went to neimans yesterday and this smells nothing like angel's share. I was flabbergasted you put them in the same ballpark. However, I know everyone's nose and skin chemistry is different lol. I really liked side effect and ordered it online. Can't wait to get it!
I like Angel's Share but I dont love it. I wasn't that impressed with the opening. It takes a while into the dry down for me to appreciate it for what it is.
I agree with u, I smelled side effects and am like this is not worth the price tag. When I blind bought Angels share 🤦🏾♀️ it was not worth the hype, it’s an OK fragrances.

Love the fact that Angel's Share is designed to look like whisky in a glass. ...a pretty hefty measure of whisky at that. 😄

I got Side Effect decant. Still didn't test it on my skin only on paper. Very strong and sweet , I am waiting for the special occation to test it :)

I don’t get that. But the initial spray only lasts a couple of minutes and then it drives down well.
