I was here 90 and 91 and it was electric. changed my life.
No footage but I remember the freak nights well, run by Paul Cons. The best atmosphere I saw in there was the Hacienda Classics series throughout summer 96.
The place was absolutely rocking!
Flesh nights by Paul Cons ;)
We loved it & lived it & it spoilt us forever . Never to be repeated , because it was a accidental moment in time that couldn’t ever be repeated . Because it wasn’t predicted ❤
@jm338
The tune is 'blow - cutter' but the crowd are going crazy for the 'landlord i like it'' piano riff which was a massive hacienda classic from 1989.
I miss this!!! Loved it at the time
What a night that was!
takes me back................................
happy days at the hac
loved it
fuck im gonna get on my decks and have a bash
that famous riff at the start? landlord - like it
Nice! Actually, the very very last tune being just mixed in is defo C&C Music Factory - Just a Touch of Love... Most likely the Keyboard Express mix. How about that for sharp I.D'ing :)
Deeper Love Ultra Nate is one of tunes at the end. Leftfield Mix if I remember rightly
Yes that's Lil Louis Anthem by The Untouchables.
@daveisspidey Everytime I went through the f***ing doors into the club I felt Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz landing in OZ. LOL-It was very special.So many happy memories.
Would have thought the music was louder, its not even distorting the mic
Looks like the cameraman was well on one.
shit trivia, Joey Negros real name was Dave Lee! just like me, synchronicity. top videos mate!

@dixon97a
Yeah I remember Damian Noonan. He got us in for free quite a few times. Unfortunately I read that he passed away a few years ago in a bike accident.
He was scary AF though.
@outy1978 Thanks for the reply thats really bad news he was a top fella, the doorstaff there had a bad reputation but we always found them great, cant remember any of the others but Damian i think looked after people who had travelled a long way. . .RIP. . .
Would've loved to hear sasha play there! Or even Renaissance w Diggers
You got me on that one
Used to travel up from the midlands about twice a month and Damian the doorman would let us sraight in no queing no messing would lovt to know what he was upto now. . . .
@konspiracykid the Banshee on oxford street was the best, followed by new dawn at Rockworld. Went to the hippodrome once, not very welcoming. I used to travel every week from Chester, with a few of my mates, even on my own sometimes. Top nights with the Mix Factory Dj's, who I became very good friends with.
The landlord is the first track …. Playlist is incorrect
Playlist is correct - Blow the Cutter begins at the end of part one & continues at beginning here (hence the misunderstanding) The Cutter samples Landlord - check link at 2.59 th-cam.com/video/kErA47m6Amk/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=thelostreef
This was clubbing, so glad I experienced it.
Sorry clicked remove on your last comment on Part 1 by accident. I didn't start going to the Hacienda until 94 but I heard 88 was rocking in there as well. :)
@dixon97a Damien died after a crash in the Dominican republic in 2003 i think.
LOL Ok how about the 1st tune played on other video - The Hacienda Manchester - 1991 - New Years Eve "Part 1" =)
Its that landlord - i like it... What a fucking tune.... The crowd are going nuts.. The dj should've mixed in altern8 - evapour8 with that tune seeing as.... THEY'RE GOING MAD !!
@1deborabora Thanks. I still can't find any reference to this. Is it listed on discogs?
Cheers
Hello, can we use this video on the Manchester Evening News website? Please let us know (as a comment on here is fine) ASAP if you would prefer us not to. Thank you.

DREAMIN DA DREAMS OF DA DREAM KEEPING IT REAL UPWARDS N ONWARDS FOREVER AND A DAY FIGHTING ON FOR DA CAUSE TILL DA DAY I DROP....
@dixon97a hes dead
Sorry guys but the HAc was fuckin wank in 1991. Sure, 88/89 it was shit hot, but other cluns were miles better than the hac...Konspiracy..Thunderdome...the hac started playing boring music as a backlash angainst the harder belgian tunes/breakbeat that was coming out in late 1990/1991. It was also to keep the 'riff-raff' out. If you wanna see a PROPER atmosphere, check out the quad park video opposite. Now that was a proper club. BTW, I spent NYE 1991-1992 in the Hippodrome, Middleton!
White doves!🏋️♂️
He's dead
