Car cards to me gives realism. Even when add track warrants or aka Form Ds .
Yes correct. Realism and also a sense of purpose. Which i guess ads to the realism again.

One thing about leaning the Car card/ waybills against cars. While this may be acceptable when operating on your own layout, when operating as a visitor be mindful that some layout owners don’t like car cards leaning on their cars and we should/must refrain from this practice!
Yes, one should always check the policy of the layout you are operating.
How did you attach the wood waybill holders to your layout without cracking the material? It is very thin.
Pre drill the hole for the screw.
I also added a small washer in between the screw and holder. This will create a larger surface area for the screw onto the holder thus spreading the load / force a bit.
Secondly and probably the most importance: don't over tighten the screw!

I ordered a set of cards on 5 January 2021 from Mircro Mark and it is now 17 February, 43 days later and no response from MicroMark.
Wonder if your order took as long?
Yeah I admit that does not sound good. But it also depends on destination, and how it is shipped. Generally the USPS (normal postal service) can take a long time. Did you check with micromark or try the tracking number?

@@railroad9000 Yes same experience here, normally no issues. Maybe they are snowed in? Meanwhile you can prepare the layout & yourself for ops with car cards.

Yes I am planning to use the same system. I would change some details within the system like adding 'off spot' cars. And have card boxes at the yard per destination.
