Thank you to whoever pointed it out that in the first instance of filming this video I got the decimal place wrong...silly mistake but managed to take it down in time and film it again to make sure that I wasn't delivering the incorrect information!
If you use Ableton, you can select an area on the arrangement view and right below you’ll see the time in miliseconds! Then you just have to calculate the decay time again if you’re using the pre delay 👌🏻. Thanks Fabio, greetings from Brazil 👏🏻🙏🏻
Dope tool. I'm guessing the reverb was on a send channel given that it was set to 100% wet. Any particular pros or cons compared with sidechaining in the original signal and compressing the reverb as an alternative method, other than the convenience of just having to set the pre-delay? When setting attack and release values on a compressor, could one use the calculated pre delay value(s) to set the attack and the calculated decay times to set the release and get desirable, accurate results for setting the attack and release on a compressor? Thanks!
Noize London Yeah, look into it for me. I'm thinking for final limiter settings in particular - like with Fab Filter Pro L for example where you can get very precise to the milliseconds with the attack and release settings.

In fact, the melody of most modern music has a similar meter - that of a child's nursery rhyme. By that reckoning, most modern music is written either with children in mind, or by children - such is the demise of my art since the downturn of creativity in the past 25-30 years.

In my Reverb plugin there's no Decay time in milliseconds but percentage instead what to do in that case bro?

Do you prefer to use delay / reverb on the channel or as a send?
Really depends on the effect I'm after. Reverb on the return as opposed to send can create a thinner signal which is sometimes desirable.

Hmmm something to think about for sure but I'm not sure that would work. Let me get back to you on this one.

I would do it more by feel thank anything to be honest. Math isn't the answer IMHO.

...or you can buy some Exponential Audio reverbs and use the Sync to Tempo option!
Also a great idea but not every reverb has that options :)
