Yeah, that's Atreyu, Ash and myself on one of our weekenderlander adventures - which is a made up word for a quick weekend camping / overland trip. My favorite way to spend a weekend, hunting and fishing with the girlfriend, the truck and the dog...beautiful warm sunrises and fresh country air.

On another exciting and relevant note, my 13 year old car died about 5 months ago, and I've been gearing up to buy a new vehicle. Needless to say, I settled on a Tacoma, largely because of your channel. Too funny... I recognize that fire ring, I was just there at that same camp spot last weekend and had a fire as well. Fortunately thanks to people like you, It was nice and clean when I got there, of course as always I made sure the fire was out (nice having snow on the ground this time of year) and the area was spotless when I left.

I don't have a JetBoil, but recommend the MicroRocket from MSR. Heats water up fast! Love it. Worked so well, my brother is going to pick up something similar to supplement his Jeep Camp gear.

If you ever go back you can remove the rocks between the bricks. The point of a setup like that is to suck oxygen in through the gap in the front of the ring and direct the smoke over the larger rock in the back keeping it away from campers.

Have you tried night vision/thermal equipment? That should be part of the survival gear videos. Try it out it's lots of fun. Silencers too maybe!.
Yup, I've done a fair bit of force on force with NVGs, and a tiny bit of thermal. I own a handful of suppressors as well. 🍻
Funny story, This past spring during turkey hunting, me and some friends and few of our wives were upnorth, at our usual camping spot, one day we all were having a fun day of shooting guns, i knocked over a little container, one of those rubber made jam containers when you make your own homemade jams, i had tipped it over right into our campfire, you can guess what happened lol, i picked up all the bullets i could find, late that night around 12am, on the way other side we all were sitting in the middle of the field area, better views of the sky and stars, all the sudden were heard incredibly loud pops, 3 of them, i said to the group, "Hmm...I must've missed a few" lol, the next day i decided to see if more could still be in there, and i found two more sifting through ashes with a large slotted spoon

I was wondering from Ashley's woman point of view, what are amenities/gadgets/gear that she might require? In the department of emergency kits, food/water, recovery supplies I am familiar with it.. but other than foam mattress, heating pad,.. not sure what else to bring so that my wife would be more comfortable during these excursions.
