B3313 Early Access (March 2023 dev build) - Part 1: Oh, I *Like* Cake

- Time to explore a different, yet familiar version of a different, yet familiar version of a favorite game of mine. I have no idea when the full 1.0 version will be available publicly, and there's definitely going to be some fixes and additions to that which aren't present here, but I'm interested to see what new stuff is already added. I encountered a decent amount of it in this first video, but I assume I've only just scratched the surface of it.

For those asking if B3313 is back in development based on this, its not, unless you count unabandoned. This seems to be a video that was previously unlisted or private that was made public finally.

I can't believe you got this game in an unmarked bloody envelope when it came in thrown through your window with a rock, and the only message inside was "You've been chosen" with a blank N64 cartridge that only had a pentegram on it... you deserve it! Really cool they reached out to you to let you see this version (did the creators ever see your custom spreadsheet for the game?)

That Piranha plant sound was almost like coughing, but the sound was off.

It's been awhile since I've watched your videos - Kaizo 64 and Mario 74, specifically - and WOW your voice has gotten deep since then! Sounding good, man :)
That random ass box at the beginning of the hack, that was something placed by Chris to test out the custom "Brodute boxes" in-game.
Those custom boxes can contain many things that the vanilla SM64 boxes can't, such as Chuckyas and Bob-Ombs.

The OST has, in many ways, improved in some parts. Super excited to see you reach some because they're atmospheric as heck.
Yellow Switch or no balls. But if you hit the Yellow Switch, it resets your other Switches, so if you're interested to see what happens, I think it's worthwhile to seek out the Yellow Switch first.
I also like how you managed to find the emptiest new area in the game, and there's a ton of new areas. I've been playing this for a little while and I've never seen the flower garden maze. I wonder what other things I've missed.

Only just started watching this, I really hope the duplicate star glitch is fixed
This game is MEAN. It locked me out of the (real) blue switch room. I tried about 5 times in a row - I put down the controller down and let luigi fall asleep while I searched online for a fix. I gave up tried again one last time - and it randomly gave me the real blue switch room.
The hole with the rainbow swirl was probably a partners in time reference. Also maybe it's just me but the wall texture in the room with the bowser paintings in a line looks like it may be from resident evil 1

I like how the HUD keeps changing positions and even textures! At least the numbers.

It does seem like there are some erroars here and thar, hopefully they do get fixed, assuming they're unintentional

if a rom file is modified it would probably legally count as a different game than the original game that was modded, would that make it still illegal to share the pre-patched rom file of b3313?

why do you always do like 7 different inputs when doing a 1 input thing
Without an example I can't say, but I'm often moving the camera while doing other stuff, and general movement is usually me tapping directions rapidly rather than holding them if I'm moving in any angle that isn't 8-directional. I've been playing SM64 on keyboard for 20+ years and I've just picked up certain habits.
