  • A 65-year resident of Palolo, Caroline Sasaki said she has never heard of a boulder falling from the west side of the valley, until one plunged into her own home over the weekend. Sasaki recalled walking into her living room to watch television just before midnight, Saturday, when the 5-foot by 5-foot rock rolled past her. Sasaki's family was in the process of moving into the newly-built hillside home and have been there for about a week.

The number of small things she must have done right before that made her be in the exact spot is crazy. 1 more second and she was dead. Really glad she’s alive and ok.

Indeed a wake up call for all living in similar areas & possible rock/bolders threats. Praise the Lord she was not killed or injured, what a video that captured this a miracle!

A miracle that poor woman wasn't killed. Glad the local authorities are checking this. Now the family is out of a home.

Wow!! I know the feeling. At work inside a cardboard box was a bowling ball and it was sent down a slide and nearly hit me. I felt it go by my leg. Didn’t think of it at the time it happened. It was afterwards thinking of it if it would happen if it did hit me. Thank God nothing happened and she alright.

If that land with the boulders is privately owned, I would be a very nervous land owner who should be ready to receive a call from a lawyer...

They dont know where boulder came from?? Sure it wasnt from the hill with boulders outside their door??!!?? It must be the FBI doing the investigation.

How to make the state void of any responsibility from any accidents: sell everything to private owners. "Not our problem 😶‍🌫".

the fact there are cameras in the house makes me wonder if it was staged for Clout.,

"Where the boulder came from and what caused it to crash into the home is still under investigation." Huh? I can solve that right now. It came from up high, most likely that hill with all the other boulders. And what caused it to crash into the home was gravity. Gravity and momentum. Hell are you talking about?

One would say that the land is lightly angry....or some humans pushed it

I pretty sure gravity is the cause.

Why are houses made of paper instead of bricks, and still cost a billion dollars? Asking for an European friend.

Hawaiians don't have to worry about boulders crashing into their homes. Because most of them are homeless or can barely afford to rent. Every other ethnicity has infested their Islands!

Why don't they just dig big steel rods in front of the boulders that are on the hillside. Definitely cheaper than having to rebuild an entire block. Glad nobody was hurt.
