    Very nice tutorial, good pacing and beautiful result. Any chance you could tackle a groth effect with this setup?

    • @RomanPillai
      @RomanPillai  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yeah there are a lot of tutorials that show you how to make a growth effect with custom solvers.

    • @esnoox8616
      @esnoox8616 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know, but can you integrate it in this very setup? Or would rather start completely different?

    • @RomanPillai
      @RomanPillai  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@esnoox8616 Yes its possible. Just make sure the geometry points you're going to grow on doesn't change, otherwise the growth system might not work.

      Don't be overwhelmed, there are a LOT of nodes so it will take time to get acquainted with them. You'll gradually understand more about each node once you start using them frequently. The SideFX documentation page is very handy and I refer to it always. Also you can right click on any node and click on "Help" and it will explain you what the node does, I use this feature a lot too. Since you're a beginner, I suggest you check out Rohan Dalvi tutorials on Houdini. He has a great beginner course for Houdini I think on Vimeo

    Why render inside C4D? Feel like RS nodes are way better inside Houdini plus viewport much more responsive?

    • @RomanPillai
      @RomanPillai  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel there are a lot of c4d artists that wish to try out Houdini but are too intimidated by it. Hence why i wanted to involve c4d as well.
