I think someone in the OPM manga actually got this treatment. Saitama is generally polite and waits till his opponents use their final moves and stuff before punching back so I might be wrong.
Here's an easier strat: Take Metal Knight's moveset (Machine A? I forgot which). Use a radar clock item for 30 extra seconds. At the start of the match, IMMEDIATELY try to get some distance and press your Triangle/Y attack. If you're far enough away from Saitama, his AI will become braindead and remain guarding for much longer than he should be doing. Charge your meter, after every 1 bar shoot a missile at him. Rinse, repeat until ultimate. When you get your ultimate ready, form change, charge up your square attack, and then use your ultimate once the rocket punch is close enough. Metal Knight's ultimate does not send Saitama as far away as Metal Bat's, but that doesn't matter: he's far enough away to become braindead when you throw a missile at him anyway. It's a lot safer to do since you won't have him chasing your ass, and even if he form changes he won't be able to land his ultimate. This strategy ONLY works with Metal Knight, his moveset is the only one that has an unblockable projectile aside from Blizzard, and hers move too slow. Not to mention it's far more consistent since if done properly, he will NEVER have an opportunity to throw an attack. Also to the guy that made his 3 star reward shite: Fuck you. I'm not doing it again for a shitty stat reset ticket.

I actually just beat him using the Standard style. I had to wait for him to get into the Dashing animation first when he's close and then I Mode Change. This causes him to stop for a second, then he once again begins to dash. As soon as you see him about to dash and you hear him about to say "dashing", that's when you trigger the Super Killer move. Because he's incapable of guarding as soon as he enters the dash, he's forced to cancel his dash and tries to guard but as he's exiting there's a few precious second where he's vulnerable and thus if executed correctly, will guarantee your Super Killer Move landing with the rare exception of him landing a perfect guard and him appearing behind you. But on order to actually beat him, you have to use the Serious Punch to send him flying and give you enough time to charge your Move Gauge, also I recommend trying to charge it as close to 9 as possible and that you enter the fight using a Fan Letter since it automatically grants you 9 Move Gauges at the start of the fight.
This is easily one of the funniest fighting game videos I have ever seen. From your statement at 2:16-2:27, I knew this would be good. Lord Zo Honestly Sans is WAY harder. You can't really cheese Sans without farming for who knows how long. And even then you still would have to know what to do after he falls asleep. You would also have to figure out that he falls asleep in the first place. There is a lot of stuff you'd have to look up in order to beat Sans. While with Saitama you can just cheese him with unblockables because he is so bad
You can use giant swing this way too. It’s got about the same range as Metal Bat’s ultimate and even though Saitama breaks the animation of the throw, he is still thrown far enough away to keep you out of range. Best to use it when he’s dashing. I used this instead because I was just one more ultimate away from beating him. Then guess what drops in? A little golden package that said, “You Thought.” Needless to say I was left dismayed and peevish.
I “beat” this mission without 10% damage. You have to let Saitama vanish and unleash his ultimate on you while you miss yours. Before he punches you, it switches to a cutscene and then you win

I managed to beat him with the Bofuri type load out. Similar tactics. I used the long range heavy attack to force OPM to guard and powered up then used a guard break and the killer move.
i didnt even know this came out till i got my pre-ordered copy in the mail and i love this game and how they have the op point of saitama just like in the show
If you used Sonic's shurikens before doing Super Killing Move (which costs only 1 bar) it would be much easier, cause AI tends to block ranged Killer Moves longer, plus, even if you do it while Saitama is attacking, you will dodge it in the air. You can see how well it works in my own video.
With your method I beat the guy, he's too trigger happy to rely on getting a good charge or grabbing a box. I used an alarm clock for an item (just in case) whenever i charged i made sure it was too seven and then it was shuriken and then super killer move. Same with when an item would appear, just force him to keep guarding by using exploding shuriken and get a 2 bar charge before i repeat the cycle. Takes a little longer but with the alarm clock you should have the time to do this. Only real challenge is getting that first charge off. So gung ho in this challenge.

If you used Sonic's shurikens before doing Super Killing Move (which costs only 1 bar) it would be much easier, cause AI tends to block ranged Killer Moves longer, plus, even if you do it while Saitama is attacking, you will dodge it in the air. You can see how well it works in my own video.
With your method I beat the guy, he's too trigger happy to rely on getting a good charge or grabbing a box. I used an alarm clock for an item (just in case) whenever i charged i made sure it was too seven and then it was shuriken and then super killer move. Same with when an item would appear, just force him to keep guarding by using exploding shuriken and get a 2 bar charge before i repeat the cycle. Takes a little longer but with the alarm clock you should have the time to do this. Only real challenge is getting that first charge off. So gung ho in this challenge.
