This game is nice because not only is it lovely to look at, but it is easy to learn, quick to play, but it has definite strategy. Thanks for the playthrough.
44:53 Dave is mistaken on Nikki’s move. When columns are equal, you score from left to right & not right to left. She should of went for the dark blue, for her second tallest and still have the 2nd column as her 3rd tallest
@39:47 😂😂 Love Dave. I like how simple and relatively quick this game is, and how the language isn't a problem until the expansion is added. But felt like its system offers little strategy. Also not a fan of constantly pushing pieces around. They could have at least made the river double-boarded so they slid in, like the 17-counter in the player board! Not to mention how big the board is for no reason (aside from aesthetics)
That big board is only a problem with the deluxe version. Normal version has just the river pieces (cardboard art), and each player board has vertical notches for the inventory counter, giving the game a much smaller footprint.
Did Lincoln lose the points for his overflow or did his ability prevent that? Never mind Lincoln caught it as I’m typing. Did you add the black gems? I did not see any in either game, or is that for 5 players?
You are playing with the deluxe game minus the 3D first player token. The retail has acrylic gems vs the glass gems, although being that I have both, it is really hard to tell the difference by feel. Retail has punch board River tiles vs the clear acrylic River tiles and the retail has the punch board lake and no neoprene playmat. The cards came free with the Kickstarter edition Considering Target had the Retail for $20 during Black Friday event, I would have preferred the value of the retail over the Kickstarter “Founders Deluxe Edition “ at over $100 with shipping included. Now I wouldn’t have the cards nor the upgrades, but saving over $80 would have been the way to go!
Is this a deluxe edition or did they revise the components? I have the one with inventory just indicated by a token in notches on the side of the board (which everyone forgets to do). Also, kudos to Lincoln for his sartorial excellence!
One thing I don't like is that the drawer can pick/feel desired "shapes" when drawing from the bag. I wonder if a "reverse" house rule is better - place "colors" on the river and build the same "shape" in a given column in one's board instead?
In the KS, a bunch of people asked about people being able to feel the shapes and they pointed out that they just didn't have a problem with that in playtesting. Which makes perfect sense. There's really no fun in cheating like that.
Your playthroughs are always top-notch! Thanks for the clear instructions and insightful commentary! 💯
I just knew I would like this game when it first was released, and I was right this is gorgeous
Game night and GameGenic - A stellar combo🥰🥰 Another awesome show and great game to add to my shelves🥰🥰

Great video. I just bought this in Australia.

27:00 there are two 'extra' colours with at least one player count.
Nice to see the shift towards BlueSky on the socials!

This game is big on my radar! Thanks for the play through

Jackie! This is the deluxe version. It is nice but it is a little expensive. See you soon! -Lincoln
Looks great!
Was interested in this game, but it just feels way too short for me. Like azul but 1/3 of the length.

I’m so excited to watch this!! Love this game!!
Looks interesting!
looooove your videos 😊
This is such a great game
Not Dave with a Cosby reference!
When you draw tiles from the lake, you ALWAYS draw 4. Any overflow goes to negative points. You can’t draw fewer than 4. So y’all played that wrong.
