사실 그녀는 데뷔 때부터 핫한 댄싱퀸 이었으나 그녀가 슬픈일을 겪고난 후 고맙게도 다시 돌아왔을 때 그녀가 가진 가창력에 우리는 모두 크게 놀랐습니다. 이후로, 그녀는 주로 슬픈 드라마의 ost와 그녀가 가진 슬픈 서사의 자전적 ost같은 '사랑 안 해' 같은 곡들로 우리를 너무나도 자연스럽게 감정적이게 만듭니다. 그녀의 슬픈 목소리와 함께. 이제는 모두에게 사랑받고 행복해 보여 다행입니다.

she's one of the best female ballad singer in South Korea with 20+ years of experience, and of course you will get a dance numbers, fun fact she debuted with dance song back in 1999, and she's one of the pioneer in infusing Latin beats into K-pop songs, she also famous for her ability to make a nursery song sounds so sad (she showed it in some variety show, just for fun)

She is a born-to-be, a natural singer.
She is known to record her songs in one go. No need to practice, she gets the songs instantly and records them.
I guess she doesn't need to practice a particular song before recording because she is always ready to sing and singing all the time anyway with all the concerts and recordings and music shows.
I wouldn't say she is THE best singer we have but I am sure no one can argue about that she has THE most emotionally-appealing singing voice of all. (If you understand the lyrics, you will be amazed how she naturally but also perfectly matches the up and downs, the push and pulls and all the different tones of her voice with each and every word of the song. Which made her the queen of OSTs even though she had started her singing career and been totally successful as a dancing singer.)

어찌보면 가사에 감정을 담아내는 능력은 모든 대한민국 가수들 중 최고가 아닌가 싶을정도입니다
체스트보이스의 딴딴한 질감을 좋아해서 고음에서도 믹스를 선호하는 사람들한테는 백지영의 잦은 헤드보이스가 취향에 안맞을수도 있겠으나 가사의 단어 하나 문장 하나하나 를 안다면 더욱더 호소력을 실을수 있는 음악적 기교로 사용하고 있음을 아실수 있을겁니다
