Awesome! Have you ever thought of using hydroponics? I have seen another chicken tender show their homemade system for growing sprouts for their chickens. Very neat info

I love that idea!! A while back my husband made a waterfall micro green station where the water cascades down to 8 trays. It wasn’t automatic thought- maybe we can tweak it!!

Lol, I wouldn't delete it either! 😅 I have Oprington hens and 2 Golden Comet roosters. Have 7 in the incubator now, can't wait to see what they look like! It's my first time hatching and so far on day 5, 7 of the 8 have veins! 🙌

Couple heaping tablespoons of hydrated lime/pickling lime in a half gallon of water. Stir well and let sit over night. Pour off the clear water and dump the solids at the bottom. Add the lime water to your 5 gallon water bucket. You can buy pickling lime for $10/lb at the grocery store or $10 for 50 lbs of slaked/hydrated lime at your local farm supply. Same thing, different name.

My chickens hate black fly larvae and it's hard to get them consume oyster shell.
