    Hey there,
    In this video I take a look at K-Flow reverse osmosis water purifier. This can be purchased on Amazon for around $399. In this video I take my not so good tasting well water and purify it into drinkable water. Check out my full review here!

      I gifted mine to a friend a few months ago. I upgraded to an under the counter RO filter: th-cam.com/video/Xxe_Ym-94JU/w-d-xo.html The original still works as it should. A couple of filter replacement along the way has been the maintenance.

    We have well water that goes through a softener system then into the brita pitcher, which you have to dump the first 2 pitchers.

    Great review, but how much is a set of filters? Are the filters available from or compatible with filters sold at Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart? How much are you saving from what you were spending for bottled water, both large and small? And lastly, does the machine have an indicator to let you know when to change filters, or do you just change at a year and that’s it?

    • @Jeffreviews4u
      @Jeffreviews4u  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They are proprietary filters all 4 would be about $200. I spend about $1000 a year on bottled water so it would be a savings and the dial on the front has filter indicators. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  • @alexlubinski7795
    @alexlubinski7795 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Are there any compatible 3rd party filters for this system? $200 annually for a set seems extremely steep (f.ex. twice as expensive as ZIP) compared to other RO systems, either „stationary” that you mount under your sink or external devices like this one. Especially here in Europe, where you can get decent low-tier RO6 systems for that kind of money.

I have written to the company to find out if they are going to produce more but haven´t heard back. Do you know if there are any other filters matching this water filtering system (ROPOT-175 or DT-180). many thanks in advance

    What would happen if you ran the water that is back in the reservoir instead of dumping it? I mean, what was the path that that water went through? Didn’t it went trough the filters? If it did why did ended up contaminated? If it did not, why can’t go through the filters again, in the worst case scenario it would be as contaminated as it was and it should be purified by the filters if ran again through them? There is some information missing to understand completely why you have to dump it instead of filtering it again.

    • @Jeffreviews4u
      @Jeffreviews4u  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Directions tell you to dump that water. It is the by product of the RO process and will most likely shorten the life of your filters. I use it to water plants so there is no waste. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

    • @carloslandaverde6475
      @carloslandaverde6475 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jeffreviews4u thank you for the reply, I did a few tests measuring the TDS of the byproduct and indeed it increases, but when filtering again, just adding more tap water, it comes down again and it comes out filtered just fine, increasing the TDS in the new by product but not for so much, I guess it all dependes on the initial water quality, so in some cases like mine, it would not do much harm to the filters and can use the water again. Thanks!
