I love your videos! How do you prepare your clients for your energy? Do you have a “pep talk” with them before you start the session? I’m sure you have guides etc. in the planning stage but I feel like my energy doesn’t come across this nice! lol great job! 🎉
GREAT QUESTION! So yes to guides/etc BUT more importantly, we post TONS of behind the scenes on social media for clients and potential clients to see. SO there is no guessing that this is exactly what they want, they know what they are getting into, and it breeds more confident buyers. They can confidently book a session knowing what it's going to look/sound/feel like. We find that not only does this attract more buyers but in the best way, it repels some potential clients - those who would find me annoying, loud, aggressive, etc are instantly repelled by bts videos - GREAT! It serves everyone better :)

Great question! We carry around this tent (or keep it in our car trunk): www.amazon.com/dp/B08LVXT7NT?ref=exp_cameronandtia_dp_vv_d&th=1 It pops up in like 2 seconds and takes about 30 seconds to fold up and put back in the carrying case.

I'm exhausted just listening to you talk through the session, LOL. Great energy and great engagement with the client. I'll try to emulate some of this on my next shoot, but I don't know where I'd ever find that kind of energy.
HAHA I am full of energy! But I consider this my "sasha fierce" personality - like Beyonce says, it's her stage personality when she turns it "on" for the performance! Just an explosive version of myself!

At what point would you use a flash?
This is a great question! So for this session, it was originally a part of our posing course. So it was actually a previous senior of ours that we asked to model for us to film our course. She had a limited schedule and so this is the only time we could set it up. Originally, we were only planning to film for about 15 minutes and then ended up going for a half hour just because she was there and willing, which is why we got into the dark. So all that to say, typically, we would NEVER set up an outdoor shoot when it is getting dark and thus we would never use flash outdoors. Haha! Long winded answer because it was a bit complicated.

Hi! Love this! What camera and lens do you typically use on senior shoots?
Hi Kerry! Here, I'm shooting with an Canon R5 and a sigma 85 mm and that's our typical set up! Sometimes we'll use a 50 mm if we want a bigger landscape shot with the senior - but that's super rare and in most cases we can just use our feet to back up and keep the amazing compression of the 85 :)
