    I love the stuff you do, real jujutsu. Not just throws like judo, not overly fround focused like bjj, not magical chi compliance like aikido. Real, well rounded combat grappling. *Chefs Kiss*

    I have a question . I trying decide between 2 schools. 1 is yoshin ryu jujutsu koryu ju taijutsu. I believe they train very tradition kata, Waza. Or a genbukan ninpo taijutsu school that has become ten chi wa taijutsu, basically traditional jujutsu but modern applications similar to what you're doing, kata waza traing then randori application training.
    The first is basically samurai bujutsu school. While I'm intrigued with the traditional way I do want waste time if can't be effective in self defense. Thanks,

    What’s the difference between aiki JJ JJJ and BJJ

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The way I try to describe it to my students is that aiki is small joint manipulation, JJJ is more throws and standing grappling, while BJJ is focused on the ground. Though there is blending and mixing at all levels

      The real big difference is rule set. That's what I tell people when comparing judo and bjj. the rule sets determine which techniques are best suited for the situation. It's great to cross train, though.

    Combat jujitsu ??? Hasnt jujitsu always been combat with judo and aikido developed from it also originally jujitsu was so brutal even the Japanese banned it in its original form what is around today is watered down version

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some approaches to Japanese Jujutsu are more of a history lesson compared to actual combat, while many BJJ schools focus exclusively or too much on sport compared to combat.
      Nothing wrong with either, but when we train, we train all perspectives
