We would spread about two bushels of rye out per acre on corn stubble / Then we would hook the JD 4640 up to the JD 24-foot disk over the it / Rye will grow any where and any time / We had a great cover crop and no soil erosion!
Something new we were hearing about. In a short fall they're supposed to be able to grow deep to help break up soil compaction. We thought they were pretty good, definitely grew fast!

What kind of yield at harvest?
It wasn't bad. We had a couple other no-till fields that did fairly decent.
What about weed control?
We'll be spraying it in a day or two.
