  • Knowing how to decontaminate is essential after exposure to any CBRN agents. Practice is essential too.

    Good demo. Good idea to be very familiar and comfortable with one's kits. I can't imagine in a real situation with nerves fraying trying to do something for the first time. Needs to be habitual at that point really.

      Yeah, the threat still exists. Nasty stuff, particularly the residual liquid and subsequent vapour hazard. No doubt some idiots in the future will release some more of it.
      If anything, it's just good to be aware of and know what to do.
      Stay well folks.

    so how the hell do you do your whole kit?

    • @PreparednessVeteran
      @PreparednessVeteran  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You would need either to adopt a wet decontamination method or use LOTS and lots of fullers earth decontamination powder/decontamination wipes in order to stabilise the agent and or remove the contaminant. IF wearing a charcoal lined PPE CBRN suit, dry decontamination would be the first Immediate Action.

      The kit used above is a Mk4 CBRN Suit used by the British Army. Check out my other video on the complete kit:
      "How to correctly wear a CBRN / NBC Suit"
      Decontaminatino gear is DKP1 & DKP2
      With detector paper 1 colour (worn).
