There always has to be one. But it does sound like you kept everything as positive as you could and it sounds like you told the story rather than getting a live reaction of it which was probably better. I have had times where people have been offended by the way I have tried to understand my world with a disability, or nameless other things. Somebody will always get offended it seems. You did the right thing and it inspires me to try and be like that as well. Hard to walk away sometimes though. Some people may be grieving the loss of their own baby and react in anger. But who knows why people are rude? Thanks for posting

Hey over the years of painting and collecting I think I have seen and heard most negative things but I have never had someone or heard of someone being so rude. Don’t let anyone ever upset you over our beautiful hobby. Oh I stole your idea oc the padded door on the soft body for the baby Think it over. I would stay away from Amazon babies they are often stolen sculpts and they aren’t true reborns as they are not hand made :(

I think they are so previously beautiful ,and beautifully made and they look real . I want one and ive already had 6 real babies now grown . But i would so love to have one of these beautiful reborns. You women are loving and so awesome to . There is nothing wrong inthis. I miss holding my babies. Even now im in my seventiies.

That lady has carma coming to her for being nasty about the dolls my hair dresser told me I was weird for collecting reborn dolls I bought one in to show her in front of her client and she liked it she hasn't said anything since her client couldn't get over how real it looked I loved the video shell it was awesome

I really loved this video. It's a really good market at wyee 2nd sat of the month. Because of the wet weather less than 1/2 the stalls were there. I had a lively relaxing day. My shoes were coveted in mud

My niece can't have babys and I send her a boy reborn ...and my brother passed last year too..so she is very sad...me sending a reborn it made her happy she loved him and name him after my brother...I love takeing my dolls out and I just love the video of all haveing fun

I have 4 boys of my own only my oldest isn't a fan of my dolls only because he says the open eyed baby's watch him. I've lost 2 babies as well and having the reborns fill the hole that was created when I lost them

Ive got a reborn doll too and Im just going to try and make her look as realistic as possible and not tell people theyre a doll its people like this that make me feel uncomfortable and anxious going out with her. I just want to go about my day like anyone else. Have you got any tips on responding to people who ask about your babies if you dont want to tell them theyre a doll
If you are going to continue walking past them just answer the questions usually (aww how old) answer the question and keep walking as if your busy, or if you’re stuck somewhere like a bus/ train/ waiting room either you can just say that it’s a doll or keep them covered up, people usually don’t bother you and bub if your baby is all covered up or has a blanket over, people assume bub is asleep :)
I’ve had people ask the age of my babies and I make up some random number and walk away usually lol

Reborn dolls are all handmade by artists of all different levels.
The supplies are expensive on their own then you have to take into account the artists skill set and experience.

These people who find things offensive really need to get a life. They must have had a really bad childhood. I am not a collector only a viewer. But i often find myself thinking of the dollies as real babies and children. Like toddlers barefoot outdoors, or balancing twin babies in a basket on a stool. I have to remind myself their not real they won't get hurt. It's only a hobby after all. And quite understandable. Especially if it helps a health issue then why can't people be more supportive. If they don't like the idea, it's simple, just mind your own business and walk away. Their attitude is very childish when their opinion is opposed. It's like their making a statement, 'I am so jealous, i would love to do what your doing, but i'm not allowed'. This disagreeable trend needs to stop, minding their own business would be a better idea, instead of tantrums.

@@ShellBellsChannel it was a pain to put together but it apparently fits 1 four year old, 1 two year old, and 1 nine month old along with two real care babies too bad the two year old threw a tantrum when we tried putting her back in it after her mom took her out

I don't see it as offensive in any while. And while I appreciate it as an art form, it seems ironic that there are children all over the world actually starving and we are spending this money as adults on providing the best prams, clothes, etc for dolls. Good for you though on taking the high road.

@@ShellBellsChannel in America there are some companies that do make reborns and sell in a store. Their reborns are not as fancy but still most are nice dolls. The really nice reborns are one of a kind , artist made, just like Australia.
