God bless Nile for making a mess that'll take 30 mins to clean up, all for 2 mins of footage, when he could've just not destroyed the thing. We love you for it.
I actually haven't seen sweet corn back in my home country. Sweet corn was the same thing as the hard corn you used but boiled. We would prepare the hard shell corn by roasting it on fire and adding spices with lemon on it. It's really good
It’s called a bhutta here in india, we would roast it then apply spices, and lemon on surface, another way is instead of roasting, just boiling it and then applying sip iced and lemon. Good stuff
Just ate some today, cooked it in the microwave, shuck, cob, silks and all. Cook for 1.5 minutes and remove from microwave, cut through bottom section and pull the shuck and silks off from the other end. No salt or butter even needed. Yum Yum.
As someone who grew up in the sticks and has spent plenty of time both chillin and working on farms, it surprises me how many people weren't aware of the different kinds of corn.
not even from the sticks but they absolutely taught this in kindergarten in the 90s. we learned about it during thanksgiving/ learning about the American Indians. they aren't teaching kids shit these days beside to identify as 11 pronouns
The same kind of corn (or similar kind) is used to make corn flour. I remember my grandmother teaching us kids how to properly take the kernels off the cob so we could grind them to make tortillas. It was actually kind of fun.
Seems natural that a chemist would say "Now I have a bunch of nice fresh popcorn" the same way he'd say "Now I have a nice clear solution of sodium bicarbonate"
I did this with my grandfather when I was really little, he just put the cob in the microwave and we watched it pop. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Mexican guy 1: "Aw, man, this teosinte thing is tough, I don't wanna wreck my teeth." Mexican guy 2: "Don't worry man, just put it in the fire like we do with the rest of our vegetables." *teosinte pops* Mexican guy 1: "DUDE! THAT WAS EPIC!" Mexican guy 2: "We have GOT to show the others!" Mexican guy 3: "I wonder if you could make the teosinte bigger to get more of that..."
This is how I feel a fake video would try and convince me popcorn on a cob was made. Is there a single video of Nigel where he doesn't act like he is competing in the "who is the most unhinged sci tuber" competition
one interesting bit is how all of the initial kernels to pop were at the same level on the cob. I guess this could be due to how the cob developed, but my guess is that it is due to the standing waves in the microwave imparting more energy to those kernels. I've always wanted to see a 3-d demonstration of microwave standing waves. The usual ones using chocolate in a sheet just shows you two dimensions, but I wonder what it would look like in 3D
smashed popcorn means nothing when you think about how big companies are wasting materials, how they're polluting the environment and causing global warming. It would be the same if he'd just eat it. Millions of people dying from hunger and there's also a big obesity problem. The whole system is wrong.

They are one of the best concerts, you can not go but just seeing them from the screen, I know it was surprising

They don't have popcorn in Russia. It's considered homosexual propaganda.
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat that's true. Unfortunately our oppressive government decided that eating popcorn is gay and forbade it for whole country.
Fun fact: miitopia (a nintendo game about miis in an rpg) has the highest age rating possible in Russia because of the relationship system
@Camping Comrade I've long maintained that popping corn and other exciting carnival foods such as cotton candy are part of the gay agenda.
That one last pop after he'd opened the microwave was perfection
Thank God he threw the corn 😂😂😂
Wtf are you talking about?
@@tycoon_codeveloper4327 he threw. The corn.
At 0:14 am I missing something? Where the hell did 80% of that cob chunk disappear shit popped like an actual balloon

It's really good
That's not the same as sweet corn, but sounds tasty.
Yum Yum.
Idk why throwing the corn at the wall made me laugh so hard
*C O R N*
our humor is officially, broken.
Everything makes me laugh these days. Even my boyfriend's dickk
it was the reason i disliked the video

I remember my mom telling me about how they made popcorn. They placed a kilo of those types of kernels in a basin and shook it until they popped.
lmao
0:38 i EXACTLY HAVE THE SAME MICROWAVE
I have the same brand, but not the same microwave, but it’s close considering it’s by one company.
You have an Unregistered Microwave Spycam v2 installed in your’s too?
@@isthischannelstillalive9062 no but i hhav that microave without the spycam
so?
0:33 wait... no way... “**YOU CAN PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE???**” this is insanity 🤯🤨
I love it when there's one last pop after the microwave is opened. It feels so satisfying.
I've eaten popcorn like this before, highly recommend. Chewing popcorn off the cob is a primal texture sensation like no other

I thought popcorn came in paperbags xD
That and movie theatres
im just from indiana and I thought everyone knew this lol

Corn 🌽 is truly AMAZING
The same kind of corn (or similar kind) is used to make corn flour. I remember my grandmother teaching us kids how to properly take the kernels off the cob so we could grind them to make tortillas. It was actually kind of fun.
That’s probably a much more useful skill than popping corn off a cob.
Absolutely unheard of, Nile eating something normal! This channel surprises me every time.
Seems natural that a chemist would say "Now I have a bunch of nice fresh popcorn" the same way he'd say "Now I have a nice clear solution of sodium bicarbonate"
Why are there so many bots? Also, lol.
It quite literally pings off like cartoons
That was satisfying. I always wanted to watch a food cooked inside a microwave. Like front row seat inside the microwave. Thanks Nile.
I have never seen anyone pop popcorn on the cob so this was very neat! I like to make my own popcorn all the time, like homemade, not microwave.
He's so aggressive but casual at the same time I love it
The future is so yesterday where everything is run your way
I did this with my grandfather when I was really little, he just put the cob in the microwave and we watched it pop. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
I love how watching popcorn pop is so fast that it almost comes off like stop motion.
can you even imagine the reaction of the first person who ever discovered popcorn?
My thoughts exactly! Just the idea of a surprised caveman sticking corn in a fire is hilarious!
Maybe the cornfield got caught on fire.
Mexican guy 1: "Aw, man, this teosinte thing is tough, I don't wanna wreck my teeth."
Mexican guy 2: "Don't worry man, just put it in the fire like we do with the rest of our vegetables."
*teosinte pops*
Mexican guy 1: "DUDE! THAT WAS EPIC!"
Mexican guy 2: "We have GOT to show the others!"
Mexican guy 3: "I wonder if you could make the teosinte bigger to get more of that..."
That last flick of corn after opening micro was on point 😂
The fact that he stepped on the corn really disgusted me. I mean its food! How can you just step on it. I'm amazed not many people pointed it out.
Me too, that was really uncalled for. It is sadly common for many people to play with food nowadays.
smashed popcorn means nothing when you think about how big companies are wasting materials, how they're polluting the environment and causing global warming. It would be the same if he'd just eat it. Millions of people dying from hunger and there's also a big obesity problem. The whole system is wrong.
Love how the kernels pop out of the cob. Very satisfying!
0:06 I started wheezing when he slammed the corn against the wall
