Thanks Janette for all your wonderful videos and knowledge of this crazy infectious hobby. Warmest wishes from us two in Melbourne Australia. We hope this wee gift helps you a bit. Mark+Chris😄😎
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support! 🥰 And thank you for the warm wishes! I definitely need them, with freezing temperatures in Slovenia right now! 😅🙈
You guys were neck and neck!!!! Photo finish for sure!! I think the 6k puzzle will be more fun for two reasons: One, it's a disney puzzle that will be fun to work on with lots of different colors, and two, DO NOT MIX THE BAGS!!!! Keep it enjoyable. Esp after the 5k you are working on now. Love the haul!
We were!! Literally 30 seconds apart! 🤯 I completely agree with you with the 6k puzzle! 🤩 I think I might keep it separate, because the 5k puzzle is doing my head in 😂🙈 Thank you! 🥰
Very nice haul. The Dixit puzzle is my favorite. My vote is for doing the bags separately. I feel like they packaged the pieces separately for a reason.
Hi Janette, please can you do the Ravensburger 1981 ‘little town’ (I think it was called) as we are huge Ravensburger and Schmidt fans😄. Our preference is for you to enjoy your 6000 Schmidt puzzle soooo…….. please can you keep the bags separate , unless others disagree. Warm wishes from Australia. M+C😄😎
Hi Janette, always love watching your videos. I vote for keeping bags separate but that’s because I’d probably do it that way 😅 also, I’d love to see a video on you comparing the different Ravensburger puzzles! I’m curious to know how much they differ now.
I get some vintage Ravensbuger from thrifts and find the quality is the same but the fit is looser. But i live in the desert so maybe they shrink a bit in the aridity. I am curious how you find them! My Little World would be my choice ✌
Do not mix the bags! No need to make it more difficult than necessary. 😄 I really like the My Little World puzzle so would like to see you do that one. I have an old Ravensburger which I have kept, that is green backed. It is a promo one for VAX hoovers probably made in 1977 or 1978. The image is a comical one which is why I bought it. Lots of lovely puzzles as usual, you always have an interesting selection to show us. Will look forward to hearing about the online competition that is still to come.
Thanks! 🤗 Noted, regarding the Ravensburger puzzles! 👌🏻 You have an even older Ravensburger puzzles! That's insane 🤯 I thought the one I received was like the oldest you can get. I was obviously wrong! 😂😅 The competition went really well! It has been a great success and all solo upcoming events are sold out so far - they do it in quarters, so the first quarter is sold out. So I cannot wait for the next quarter! 🤩
Wow nice selection but I’m so intrigued by those Ravensburger ones - will be interesting to hear your thoughts on them and how far along you think the quality has come in all these years. Even doing a bit of each of the whole image isn’t to your taste would still be good to get an opinion. I remember getting a jigsaw which I think was from the late 70s or early 80s. Was so excited to do it but I had to stop as it smelt so bad! 😂 I tried different things like scattering the pieces on the floor to air for a bit, windows open, spray the room etc. It was no good though - it was just a really bad, mouldy sort of smell and I just couldn’t sit there for any length of time with it! Could still smell it for a few days after I got rid of it!! 😂
Thank you! 😁 I am interested to see the difference too! 🤩 Oh dear haha 😂 I hope this won't be the case with these puzzles! I think she said that one was still wrapped in foil when she found it in a charity shop and I think she already assembled both and there was no mention of the smell! 😅👌🏻 But I know what you mean! I didn't have a smelly puzzle before, but I had one from a charity shop which had so much dust/hair/pet hair in it, that I was completely put off of it! I had to empty the box on the floor, and then pick the pieces out one by one, because it was just disgusting 😬
Hi Janette, so happy about your choice for the 6k image. Just about a month ago I finished the Schmidt Lion King 6k puzzle and really enjoyed it. At first I was a little shocked about the size of the pieces, but in the end I loved them because you can work on sections with much less need to move around a giant puzzle. I did it in two sections and yes, they are split in the middle. Just be aware that there are several „cutting lines“ within the puzzle, so the pieces fit perfectly, but they are offset quite notably. Greetings from Germany!
I say it’s a 6000 piece puzzle no matter how you slice it. So slice it in half and do the bags separately. You deserve to have fun especially after such a hard 5K image.
Nice puzzles Janette, I like how you split them in sections. Swapped, borrowed, competition, bought. It helps everything transitioned smoothly. I think the word you are looking for is not “ancient” it is “vintage”😉 You are calling me “ancient” since those puzzles are dated 1981 and I was born in 1979 🤣🤣
I actually don't know if it's better to mix or not the 6k puzzle 😂 but I would be very interested in seeing the comparison of Ravensburger puzzles. Those old ones are really interesting! 😊
If I were doing it I would mix it, otherwise it's just like doing two 3K puzzles, which really isn't the same challenga as doing a 6K, but since doing a 6K is the whole point I would feel it should be mixed. However, I would say do it whichever way will leave you feeling most satisfied.
Thank you! 🤗 I honestly completely agree with you, but there's always that time and space crunch with larger puzzles. I'll have a lot to think about! 😅
For your information: German game company Ravensburger was founded in 1883; it's a family owned business and they started making jigsaw puzzles in the 1960s.
My vote is don't combine and instead keep the bags separate! I'm voting for keep the bags separate because that's what I would do and would be great to see for my considering purchase of a Schmidt 6000 pieces puzzle :-) And thank you so much for your excellent puzzle videos!
That's a very valid point! 😁 But by the looks of things, I won't be mixing the bags, so you'll get exactly what you want! 😉 Thank you for your king words! 🥰
I would prefer to see you mix the bags for the 6K puzzle, then you will truly be doing a 6K puzzle, not two 3K puzzles. I agree with you that there is enough distinction between the left and right halves that you shouldn’t have any false fits. Many different colors and textures, so sorting quickly should not be a problem for an expert like you! 😅
That was the thinking behind it yes! And I think it should be too bad, that's why I'm giving you guys an option. With the 4k I was like NO WAY I'm mixing those bags!! 😂😂🙈 Aww, no one has ever called me an expert! Thank you so much! 🥰
I didn’t know Schmidt had those 6000 piece puzzles. But oops I accidentally bought the same one you have. The other 3 look harder and I think I already have the other 3 in smaller piece count. I guess that makes you an influencer! ☺️
I didn't either until I went looking for it! 😅 I agree - this is definitely the easiest out of the lot! 😊 Hahahaha well I guess I am an influencer then 😂🤪
Don't mix them. I am doing that very puzzle right now, but in a MUCH smaller piece count and a different brand. I would love to see a video about that older Ravensburger puzzle - so awesome!
I vote mix them. This looks like a good image for mixing. And it will feel like an extra achievement. If it was a picture like that 5000 piece my vote would be different though 😁. I expect the Disney one will be a lot easier
🤗 I agree with you that it's a completely different experience, but it can be a bit difficult to do the 6k puzzle straight after the 5k puzzle, with the time limitations 😅 Thank you! 🤗
There are some very old 7500 pieces puzzles and some 8000 pieces from educa but they too are not new... I am not mix vote too. Don't like to make my challenges harder than the should be..
That's interesting - so the cut is probably a bit better than on the new ones 😊 Thanks for your vote! I don't think I'll mix them, because it's just too time consuming at the moment 😅
For me, I would want the challenge of all 6000 pieces at the start, but for your sanity and ability to get videos out, maybe two 3000 piece puzzles would be better
Keep the bags separate! We want you to have fun, and you deserve to make it easier on yourself, especially since the 5k puzzle was all in one ^-^
Thank you! 🥰
Don't mix is my vote. The more fun you are having, the more fun it is to watch.
Wait till you see the 5k video! I'm having a blast! 😂😂
Love the 6k Schmidt Puzzle😍. I think the image is busy enough for mixing the bags. I know you can do this!
Thank you for believing in me! That makes one of us 🤣🤣🤣
I vote separate.
Love the Dixit puzzle! Need to find out if I can get them in Sweden. I will vote for mixing the bags, looks like a very fun puzzle!
I'm sure you can! It's a French brand, so it should be easily accessible in Europe! 😉
Very nice haul. The Dixit puzzle is my favorite. My vote is for doing the bags separately. I feel like they packaged the pieces separately for a reason.
Thank you! 🤗 I love the Dixit puzzle too! 🤩 Yeah, I'm thinking that too, but I'll let everyone decide 😅
Hi Janette, mix them up, mix them up!!!!! I really enjoy your videos, john
Hahahahaha thanks! 😂😂
I vote to keep 2 bags separate.
Thank you! Seems like this is what majority of the members are about! Not sure what will happen when I put the poll out 😂😅
My little world is an adorable puzzle and I usually find that the older puzzles are a better quality. I'd love to see you do this one.
Interesting! 🤔 Now it's making me wanna try it even more! 🤩
Hi Janette, please can you do the Ravensburger 1981 ‘little town’ (I think it was called) as we are huge Ravensburger and Schmidt fans😄. I can yes! 😁 Hahaha well I wanna enjoy it too, but let's see what others say! 😂🙈 The poll will come out soon, so make sure to vote 🤣🤪
Hi Janette, always love watching your videos. I vote for keeping bags separate but that’s because I’d probably do it that way 😅 also, I’d love to see a video on you comparing the different Ravensburger puzzles! I’m curious to know how much they differ now.
Thank you! 🤗 And yes, I will make the video - seems like there is a lot of interest for it! 🤩👌🏻
I'd love to see a video on the comparing the Ravensburger quality. The 6,000 piece puzzle is bright, colorful, and looks to be a lot of fun.
Perfect! 👌🏻 And thank you! I really like the 6k puzzle too! 😍
It would be great to see a comparison of the "ancient" Ravensburger with newer ones. And I say, go for it and mix the bags 💙🧩💜
Thank you for letting me know! 🤗 Hahah ok, I'll put the vote out soon! 😉
I get some vintage Ravensbuger from thrifts and find the quality is the same but the fit is looser. But i live in the desert so maybe they shrink a bit in the aridity. I am curious how you find them! My Little World would be my choice ✌

I vote for mixed bags. Really 6k puzzle.

2 bags separate is my vote. I think it is to busy to mix and we care for your sanity
Thank you! 🤗👌🏻
I say mix, because it will be the same as doing any smaller size puzzle. This will help your skills long term and I know you’d still have fun!
Thank you! 🤗
Wow nice selection but I’m so intrigued by those Ravensburger ones - will be interesting to hear your thoughts on them and how far along you think the quality has come in all these years.

Great video Thank you
Thank you Kay! 🤗
Im glad you picked a puzzle you love- honestly, puzzling is about fun and it's FUN to have 6k subs, so the puzzle should be fun!!
I couldn't agree with you more!! 🥰
The Dixit art is so beautiful! I'm going to vote mix it all up! In fact, you should mix both bags with the 5K puzzle and then make it 😝
I love Dixit art too! 😍 And thanks haha 😂 Best to just mix all the puzzles in my collection and then assemble it? 😂🤪
@@janetteandherpuzzles That sounds like a 10k subscriber challenge to me! 😉
Definitely keep the two bags
Mix them!
Hi Janette, so happy about your choice for the 6k image. Just about a month ago I finished the Schmidt Lion King 6k puzzle and really enjoyed it. Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this with me! 🥰 I figured they would be split in the middle - they usually are. But thanks for the info! 😁👌🏻
I like old ravensberger please do them
Will do! 😁👌🏻
I say it’s a 6000 piece puzzle no matter how you slice it. So slice it in half and do the bags separately. You deserve to have fun especially after such a hard 5K image.
I completely agree with you! But I'm still letting the public decide 😂 I hope I'm not gonna regret my decision! 😂🤪

Thank you Laura! 🤗 Hahahahaha vintage it is!! 😂😅 I think puzzles age different than people! You're definitely not ancient! 🥰
@@janetteandherpuzzles Thank you Janette
Keep them separate! Enjoy the puzzle!
I actually don't know if it's better to mix or not the 6k puzzle 😂 but I would be very interested in seeing the comparison of Ravensburger puzzles. Those old ones are really interesting! 😊
Hahaha me neither!! 😂😅 Thanks for letting me know! 😊👌🏻
As for the 8000 puzzles, I saw that Educa has them, they all look like classic paintings.
Thanks, but I don't do any Educa puzzles anymore. Their cut is my worst nightmare 😬🙈
I currently have 2 really old ravensburgers too! 1972 and 1977 🤣
The quality is amazing!
That's good to know! 🤩👌🏻
I vote separate :)
Don't mix up. Fun is the key, and it wouldt still be 6 k
Greetings from Germany😊
Thank you! 🤗 I really appreciate your comment! 😊
Would love a video on the older Ravensburger puzzles
Noted! 😁👌🏻
You don't have to mix it! Is my vote 🙂🧡🧩

Yes! I have done them 🤗 The 4k puzzle I did was from Castorland! I liked it 😁👌🏻
