    Great conversation!!!
I always feel that RJ gets downplayed by the Toronto media compared to Scottie & Quickley.
R.J. has so much confidence in himself & a great deal of talent & a dogged determination. I believe that he will turn out to be a much better all around player than most people give him credit for.
It was really nice to get Michael Grange's perspective on Team Canada! He is such an intelligent analyst & smooth communicator.
I also agree that Rowan Barrett possibly blew it for the future a bit by not inviting Cory Joseph to camp. He paid his dues big time over the years & even if he would have eventually been cut, he totally earned the right to try out. It will indeed most likely make players think twice about making long term commitments in the future. You absolutely need the secondary players to play during the very tough dog days of the qualifiers, to even get to participate in the World cup & the Olympics & most of them sacrifice so much, knowing that they will most likely not make the final team. The very least that Basketball Canada can do, is to invite some of them to the 1st phase of the try-out camp, to show them some well deserved appreciation.
If we cannot get these players to commit in the future, what a shame it will be, if somehow Canada does not even qualify & all of our great players would end up watching the Word cup & the Olympics on TV...
Alex, I thought that you did a great job covering all of the pertinent topics that most would want to hear; however, I personally would have really liked to have heard Michael's opinion on Zack Edey's chances of staying on this team. As well as his long-term NBA potential & does he think that the Raptors would take a chance & draft him with their 2 picks?
If Edey could blossom to become an impact player, Canada's future is very bright with the development of the excellent young players, Ben Mathurin & Shaedon Sharpe coming up to potentially star in the NBA, just to name a few. SGA, Murray , RJ & many others on this team are still relatively young. The Team Canada for the next World cup & the 2028 Olympics in LA, may well be a stronger & deeper team than this one! (If they qualify...).

I think RJ has.a bit TOO much confidence
Barnes as well, but yes RJ.
He has a lot to prove if he wants to be an 'all star' for example, let alone a top guard/forward in his conference division.......
