Hello and thank you for posting my Love Connection episode with Kerry. I lost my ‘copy of a copy’ on VHS tape about 2 decades ago. This episode was taped in the Summer of 1992 and aired in September ‘92. I really liked Kerry and we got along great. Sadly, a long distance relationship was not to be long, because one of her ex’s came back in the picture when he found out we were on the show. Behind the scenes, we went on the date in late July and could not talk on the phone until after the taping a month later. This was 30 years ago and before the Internet and cell phones. And then the audience chose this young lady. I don’t think the fact that she lost a lot of weight really had anything to do with it. I will agree that it is kind of a sad alternative event that he did not pick her first. Sounds like they hit it off well until her ex came in to the scene behind the scenes. That would’ve helped him to keep things together over the miles. I think they looked really good together and would’ve been a great couple together. Nope. There is no moral compass today, and the whole show in 2022 would be major porn stuff coupled with yelling & screaming at each other for the all-important "ratings."
They are so good looking together. They also look so much alike to me that if they were to have children together, it would be hard to tell which parent they looked like. ha!
It would be more about social political agendas and gallivanting than actually getting to know 2 people who want to date. This host has pretty honest dialogue in a respectful way but even the part when he says: "At least you're honest a lot of men would be afraid to say that" would probably get you into professional trouble. Everyone would just be walking on eggshells afraid to say perceived as wrong.
USA Live, which aired on afternoons from October 16, 1995-mid 1997, got game show fans pissed because USA replaced their game show block with the USA Live segments airing during commercial breaks and in between reruns of Woolery Love COnnection, Wapner era People's Court, and a new original show premiering in Summer 1996 called the Big Date.
Just noticed- at the VERY end, when Chuck says goodbye to the audience, she holds her heart and falls back into her date - as if to say "Whew, I'm glad that's over." Makes you realize that being on this show must have been quite nerve-wracking for these young guests- appearing before a national audience, talking about the details of their date, etc.
Back in the 80s, just to take a photo cost $2, one for the film and one to develop it, let alone the scarcity of camcorders. Nowadays a 6-year-old have taken, and posed for as many pictures as Linda McCartney Eastman. (I imagine she got free film).
Guys, he's still in the California area and he's actually a driver for Uber and Lyft. I wouldn't recommend you looking at his likes on Twitter though....
