I screamed when Simu the Gacha King got the 0/0 Pekora effect around 9:40. Haachama is one of my favourites, so it was disappointing with her having such a light finisher, especially on the door climax in parallel to Marine. I guess it helps to ping for 1 when you can, but I was hoping for her to get a new cx combo with vol.2. At least we always the crazy Haachama beam and the burn 1 did take out a Marine climax at the end :) Thank you Shizukatz for the tip on keeping opponent at x-6 to prevent certain cards being in clock. Always learn a lot from watching Tressa's Collectibles gameplay :)
I'd be really curious to hear (read?) an expansion of Simu's thought process (33:30) in not playing the triple Marine (34:30). Randall had the superior position (lower damage, lots of stock, was projecting CXC in hand) and it's highly unlikely that Simu's deck would have been able to survive all the damage from Haato and its CXC (3, 1, 3, 1, 3, 1 if full board). There was a question about CXs in waiting room and musings about what was in Randall's hand, so I'm assuming Simu didn't think he'd be able to get the kill, but what thought process stopped Simu from not taking the riskier, but more likely to win, play here when it was highly unlikely that the Gen 3 deck survived to the next turn? I feel like there's something that I'm missing here, and, obviously, I have the bias of perfect hand information. Did Simu overthink it or was there something not listed above that I haven't considered?
If I remember my thought process on the day, I was pretty sure there were 1-2 climaxes in Randall's deck and I figured I needed to use Noel's Icy Tail effect...I also misplayed by playing the Flare, I thought I had enough stock for both. And yea I was totally disrespecting Haachama finisher, that's on me XD
@@wileycorgi4138 I think it's somewhat opportunistic and you usually don't even want to activate it...that being said, just a single hit can be a huge advantage so I think it has a place in decks that are willing to shoulder a bit of risk for a big payoff.
Going to have to give this Gen 1 Deck a try. I always enjoyed the Act Synergy they been given. That new 0/0 Mel looks like a great addition and that 2/1 Mel Support is actually kind of insane with the level assist and 1k Pump. I'm a little sad the new Aki couldn't make it in this deck, but I understand why. Honestly the most difficult choice is deciding which Counter's to choose from. The Haachama Beam, Susei, and Koyori Counter seem staple but there are so many choices at level 1!

Would any of the new level 1 Combo's pair well with Marine? Chloe seems obvious but I don't always want to run the HoloX package, Mori seems fine if you're running a good amount of Triggers., but I was thinking maybe the new Mumei? I like the Pekora but relying on a Reverse is always annoying. Thanks!
@@TressasCollectibles Thanks for the tip! I might end up going with Mumei, but I think I'll stick with Pekora actually, the new 1/1 Marine can help with getting the Reverse if needed, now the hard part is whether to go with the Matsuri or Moona Brainstorm..
Once the English restriction list goes through this weekend (assuming Alice gets hit), it should be a lot easier to fulfill Pekora’s climax combo condition. Then it goes back to being a bit difficult again when Chainsaw Man and SpyxFamily come out. It’s fun to revisit older cards and strategies as the meta ebbs and flows.
@@TressasCollectibles Do you have a site for the new list? I wonder if we'll start to see more Korone Combo's/Pekora. They're still really strong! I'm looking forward to your Chainsaw Man Video's! I only really play Hololive, but Chainsaw and Avatar are the only other Decks that have nearly gotten me.
No updated pekora list on hand, sorry! Just intuition based on what else is popular in the meta at a given moment. It’s possible we see other Level 1 combos but Chloe is probably just too efficient at what she does for other level 1 combos to consistently see play in Hololive

Watching the game from Simu's perspective while editing I also would've shotgun'd triple Marine from that spot.

I love the idea of the Gen2 deck! Might end up building a similar deck after I finish this video!
