Instead of standing on your head with a piss poor design automobiles fuse panel, Ford recommends you do a hard reset by just taking the battery terminal off.
I just shut my car off. Open the door then close it and lock it with the key fob. Wait 5 seconds and then start the car. The system just reboots itself after like 10 seconds. It doesn't happen often but it did just happen to me again after it happened 5 months ago.

i have a big problem in my Ford Mondeo mk5 2017 . i download Update 3.4 in usb and i put the usb in car normal first restarted and no display and not working. what i do now??? please help me
Normally when you put some kind of programming into your radio on the Fords and it makes it worse you have to basically replace the accessory protocol interface module because the module itself is bad
It didn't work for my problem with 2016 lincoln mkx. It turned out to be a bad battery it was only putting out 10.2v barely enough for ignition but not good enough for Sync resulting in dark screen.

You have fuses under your dash but if you have a black screen chances are 99.9% you need an audio control module or an accessory protocol on interface module so if I was you I would just get an aftermarket radio installed like Apple radio

Just looked at your owner's manual for the fuse for radio, audio control module, or front control interface module. If you pulling the fuse and resetting it doesn't work then you probably going to need an accessory protocol interface module which is about a $500 module and then it's about 2 hours installation so another 350 bucks for labor
The car is cell phone turn on? Or the radio won't turn on? Because if you unplug something and the car won't turn on you had to unplug the wrong thing and in that situation I don't know If you hard reset your radio doing it the way I showed here and it won't come back on that means it was broken and can't be reset and needs to be replaced

It needs a apim or audio control module Either way your looking at 500$ plus Just install a aftermarket radio like Apple car play radio and be done with sync

You're going to have to look at possibly getting the accessory protocol interface module changed....got to look at the other comments man I've already answered this
I mean if I knew how to order the Chip And I knew what I was doing I would but I've never been taught how to do that and I don't know how to order the Chip And I don't even know what emmc stands for
When the sync module is removed, there is a chip in the small circuit board with the 8G or 32G written on it, that is, the emmc memory chip. First write the chip program, and then replace it. Most of the module damage is related to the battery undervoltage and the failure to upgrade sync3.2. The previous 3.0 bug. Or high temperature exposure and low temperature will cause this damage. It is a common disease.

Hey there, Good Video. I have an 04 Lincoln Town Car. My radio unit is a factory all-in-one radio/navigation/cd changer system that came with certain Town Car models for a few years. The fuses for this thing are in both locations; There's a fuse for this unit in the fuse box under the dash, and there is also a fuse for it in the fuse box under the hood. There is no fuse in the back of this radio/navigation/cd system. Because my cd player acts up lately, I try unplugging and then plugging back the fuse in the fuse box under the hood, in order to get the cd player to work again. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't always work. Do you know why this might be the case?

So I have a 2018 Ford Edge se awd I’ve never had any issues with my display screen since I bought it but about 2 weeks ago my radio touch screen display and back up camera all turned off, I don’t know much about cars but I went to Google, I did the soft reset nothing worked, I took the negative side of the battery off nothing worked, the next day the radio and back up camera came on and worked for 3 days before it turned off again. I decided I’d go buy a battery before I paid for a diagnostic test and I just did that today and still nothing works on the display. Should I try to replace the fuses now or just taken it to a dealer? I looked at the fuses and they do not look messed up to me.
A lot of times when it's so bad that they turn off and turn back on it's because you have a bad module it could be your front control interface module the screen or it could be the accessory protocol interface module the device behind it that controls the information that goes through it

Either way your looking at 500$ plus
Just install a aftermarket radio like Apple car play radio and be done with sync
I’m having the same problem with my Ford 2014 Taurus sho screen just blacked out on me a week ago and hasn’t come back on yet any help on the problem?
There's no magic tricks there's no nothing most of the time when that happens you either going to put a new screen in it or you're going to replace the accessory protocol interface module or audio control module can't bring that back on once it goes out it's out
How do you know if the fuse is blown or no?
You can look through the center of the plastic and you can see the little wire that connects between the two flat Spades
You are a lifesaver!
Hi Mr. I have a question about my Sync in my Ford Edge 2011 is not turning on like the case you show on the video. Only when I disconnect the power and put it back the radio works for like 30 secs but it turns off back again, but with the screen still off. And just try the fuse 29 same in my Edge by the book same. Any ideas will must appreciated? Thanks
Probably needs a new APIM sync module
Where is the Nav SD card in a 2019 f250?
Look in the center console
Can’t find what fuse it is for EcoSport 2019, nothing in the manual
Radio fuse
@@FordBossMe there is no radio fuse option in the manual?
I tried it sir
But it didn’t come up
What do I do sir
You're going to have to look at possibly getting the accessory protocol interface module changed....got to look at the other comments man I've already answered this
Thank you so much! This worked!
Boa noite , fiz o mesmo no meu e não voltou a tela , apenas o áudio e depois desligou e ficou áudio desligado
So you're going to have to replace the audio control module or you're going to have to replace the accessory protocol interface module
My 2018 f150 runs drives no dash or raido
Look at my F-150 no start videos
I tried this on a 2018 Ford Fusion and it didn’t work, still have a black screen, any ideas?
Yeah module replacement apim
@@FordBossMe thank you!
was that Dave Ramsey show on the radio?
Idk
The emmc chip in the module is damaged. Replace the chip and program again
Hello
I got a problem with mi 2011 Taurus, the audio and a/c buttons doesn't work, when I manage to turn on de a/c I can't turning off and I have to remove the battery, do u know what could ne it?
Yeah it's probably the front control interface module Center stack the whole Center stack where all the buttons are at is probably bad
@@FordBossMe damm , I was afraid it was the complete console, thank you very much, I will try to replace it
Hey there, Good Video.
You probably have to replace the radio honestly
Hi, the screen on my 2016 mustang flashes on and off, The screen still works even when it’s off but it doesn’t stop flashing. I tried disconnecting the battery and also resetting the screen but it doesn’t go back to normal. Maybe it needs a new battery? Or a new screen? Even tho the screen still works even when it flashes off.
Prob needs an apim and programming
@@FordBossMe Bad ACM, needs to be repaired by pro. Dudes advertise on ebay
I have a 21 mach 1 that has the automatic update frozen while it's installing. The progress bar on the install hasn't moved in about a week. Everything works fine other than that. Would doing this procedure in your video fix the problem? Thank you.
It might
Mine hasn’t worked in a year. There’s a recall on all 11-14 models for a APIM. my vin number isn’t covered, though of course
There might be a technical service bulletin but there is no recall, recalls are different than technical service bulletins
How do we find out if its a service bulletin..where do we look for that?
Thank you very helpful, can you help me locate where the nap card is located on Lincoln aviator 2020
It's typically somewhere by your USB ports either in the center console or in the radio area
Fuck yeah! Thanks!
What about I’m a 2018 Mustang
Same thing try pulling out the owner's manual find the fuse box passenger side I believe and it's behind the plastic in the right pull the radio fuse and wait 5 sec and reinstall
See if that resets it
Thanks, this worked great for me
I have a 2014 ford explorer and the screen is frozen,it comes on ,but it stays frozen,it shows all the icons but all frozen and nothing works when I touch the screen.any idea what the reason could be?and by the way,I tried your method by pulling the fuse out, nothing changed.
The APIM is bad
Accessorie protocol interface module
Needs replaced and programmed
Do I have to buy an apim with the same id number on the old one?or anyone will work??and how do I program it?
@@FordBossMe do i have to buy an apim with the same id number thats on the old one?or anyone will work?and how do I program it?
the car has to be on switch mode or turn off
Off
I paid a lot of money for the car and the screen died in 3 years what the hell
What car is it?

Hi I have a question and maybe you could help?
So I have a 2018 Ford Edge se awd
I’ve never had any issues with my display screen since I bought it but about 2 weeks ago my radio touch screen display and back up camera all turned off, I don’t know much about cars but I went to Google, I did the soft reset nothing worked, I took the negative side of the battery off nothing worked, the next day the radio and back up camera came on and worked for 3 days before it turned off again. I decided I’d go buy a battery before I paid for a diagnostic test and I just did that today and still nothing works on the display. Should I try to replace the fuses now or just taken it to a dealer? I looked at the fuses and they do not look messed up to me.
A lot of times when it's so bad that they turn off and turn back on it's because you have a bad module it could be your front control interface module the screen or it could be the accessory protocol interface module the device behind it that controls the information that goes through it
Should the car be running
No just key on
Does this work if the screen is black only sometimes? With mine, its almost like I have to warm my car up to use the dash screen
It might work, what have you got to lose
More than likely need a new accessory protocol interface module
Hey, my Ford Focus 2012 sync 2 froze while doing a scheduled system maintenance. After disconnecting from car battery power and disconnecting APIM from power it’s still stuck on the screen. Any advice on a mother way to hard reset it?
Sounds to me like you're going to need a new accessory protocol interface module
