I have one(another one on the way) and can confirm these are SUPER BRIGHT. Even brighter in rgb than in cct mode which is insane to me. Great battery life, good size, app is very responsive, overall great lights. They have gone up in price but i was lucky to get them for 90 bucks on amazon. Now i can only find them on ebay for about 125-130. Still a good price id say.

I currently have 6 of these tubes and purchased them in Jan 2022 ,the operation and brightness is good and the price was good also , after 4 months of use 3 of the lights only hold 70 percent of charge and 1 only holds 80 percent of the charge .the last light holds full charge still but occasionally starts flashing to say its out of charge but the indicator say it fully charged .5 of the 6 lights have broken screw mounts just by screwing the supplied stand into them they simply snap off leaving a big hold that I have put tape over .lastly when using nanlite t12 holders on the lights that have broken stand mounts the plastic tube part has hairline cracks in it . as far as warranty is concerned they simply don’t respond to your request for help even after the units being just a few months old and used a couple of times a week .a shame as I had high hopes for this light so can’t recommend to anyone this unit unfortunately .

Interesting. I've had mine for about 6 months and they seem to be holding up. I already figured that the quarter 20 mounts were pretty weak, which is why I always use a super clamp in the middle when mounting these. You may be over tightening the tripod, which is why it is breaking. Still, it's not the best. I haven't had any charging issues yet, but then again, I am usually using wall power or using these for very quick shoots. (Be mindful of over charging any light, as that may be why you are having battery issues. Just like a cell phone, you should never over charge these. Otherwise, over time, they hold less and less of a charge. This will also happen to lithium batteries in general, as you charge and recharge them.) Also, the T12 holders are not made for these lights, so yea, I can see that they would break. This light is just too thick and heavy for any clips (including the T12's) out there. I did ask Sokani if they were coming out with a clip and grids and they told me to keep watching. However, nothing yet. As far as customer service, if you bought them on Amazon, you may want to reach out to them to see what they can do. As with most of my lights, I always get a service plan. Especially for the cheaper ones. It saves me a headake in the long run.

Did you copy and past this from a review of another brand? Might be the same light (China rebrand) but 2 different brands with 2 different customer service...

yes I had some of these lights and lasted about 1 month and things started to fall apart , contacted the Sokani company and they took 4 days to reply to each message and they just stopped after the 5 message and I got the super annoying response saying "How can I help you today " so started again with no luck .Basically its simple DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS !!

Can u save your group of light presets? Or do u have to dial in each light each time?

Amazing I just buy one of those.
If you find a grid let me know 🙏🏻

I'm looking at the Godox TL60 grid. It might be a bit long but it looks like the straps might fit. I'll post a vid when I get mine in.

@@Ranger7Studios I have the Godox Grid, I haven't tried it yet but this tube is thicker than the godox tl60 tubes i'm not sure if it'll fit

Did anyone find a good case for this? Preferably to hold two lights.

I have four of them, so I just grabbed a rifle case from my local sports store and cut out the foam. You might be able to find a tripod bag that will hold two on Amazon. Might be your best bet.

Is there a way to sync it to music?

Anyone tried the nanlite 15x or 15c (first and second gen 2 feet model) barndoor+grid for these sokoni yet? Saw the Godox tl60 grid but curious about the barndoors. Not sure if barn doors even do much on these tube lights but just curious. Seems like a grid should be sufficient to shape tube lights.

The grids for the Godox TL60 work will work with these. Just got them yesterday. It's a tight fit but they work beautifully. I was surprised at how well they work. I did speak to Sokani and they said that they were going to make grids and clips, but who knows if and when that will actually happen. I will do an update video soon showing the Godox grids.

Hi! Sorry to bother you a bit... Cant seem to pair these no matter what i do. I have them both set to the same channel and group and they dont work together... Am i missing something?

    • @Ranger7Studios
      @Ranger7Studios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Try setting them one 2 different channels. I haven't played around with this feature yet because I'm still waiting for my other 3 to arrive. I will do a video on the master/slave mode when I get the others.

@@Ranger7Studios i did! They work individually with the app but not grouped. And the group mode of the app is TERRIBLE. You mentioned master/slave options i was looking for that but didnt see anything in the manual.

None that I have noticed. In the update video I'll do a test to see if there is, but so far I haven't encountered any.
