    10:30 nightcap has manual controls such as iso, focus, exposure etc so it’s possible

    I don’t think that developers should charge a monthly or yearly fee for future features that the user’s might not need or want, in stead he should add them as expansion packs that you can buy as add ons, if you feel the need for those extra features, I myself don’t buy an app because I hope that the developer might add something to it in the future, but I buy it because it has what I need out of the box.

    After a year... I just saw the video and its great asset for using the app! I have a question: what is ur suggestion of time whne we use LT/ for ST is 40'' , what about LT? thnk u!

      It really depends on your situation, available light and movement. There is no one set answer. The latest update on EL sets an automatic mode for a good start point though.

    Can you set the exposure to 20-30s and will the app stack those in RAW? I couldn't find the 30s exposure setting. I will be on a tracking mount!

    Surprised not to see aperture control and the long shutter time like DSLR does. That give’s option to take one long exposure photo. This app settings only allowing to take many individual photos of very short duration which is causing broken light trails.

      There is no aperture on 99% of phones mate.

    Hi Shayne. Got a question for you. I’ve been using the Even Longer app for a few weeks now, taking one hour long exposure photos, but I fear that, with enough time, the UI of the app will burnin to the screen. How do you avoid that? Thanks

      Hmm I dont know about that mate. I use it heaps and havent noticed anything. I guess in theory its possible. My long exposure star trails can literally be all night. I have done heaps of those. I havent seen anything like a screen burn in or anything like that.

      There isnt one that does it in one shot (no good ones anyway). You would need to download the intervalometer app as well as a few of its sister apps, this can be done from within Intervalometer. Then you will need to take a series of photos and blend them with these apps. Its the best way to do that with android.

      Sorry mate, there just isnt any. Hence the title of the video. You can do it with multiple frames (100s-1000s of shots) and blend them in photoshop. But there is no app at this stage.

      Awesome, We can do it the same way now. Take lots of exposures and stack them. There is no Android app that can do this. Cant do it on my S21Ultra, S10 or S8.

    i had mine set to about 1 minute on a test run, and it totally blew out the highlights and didnt even bring out the shadows, is there a trick to doing this? or is it not so good in certain scenarios?

      I’ve found the same problem with highlights. It can be overcome to some extent by shooting in raw with bracketed exposures.

      I tried some time ago and found I could. However, if youre using an iPhone 11,12 or 13 the night mode is better.

      If you get the intervalometer app, there are "sister apps" that go along with it. It will achieve similar results.

    Huawei has this, i've even taken time lapse of milky-way, star trails, traffic trails,light graffiti and silky water using Mate 30 pro with its stock camera app

    We have the app, everytime we try the light trails it just turns into a giant overexposed PINK appearance that covers the whole picture

      What phone and which camera are you using? Its worth lowering the exposure which will lower the ISO. I suspect that would be causing that for you.

      @@ShayneMostyn Great question we have tried all three different lenses now and always see a pink almost like filter that has gone over the entire scene whether we do one second or we tried up to three minutes in various combinations inside those numbers

There does not seem any possible way to change exposure controls just duration of the collection. Guess the auto stuff is not worrying. Email the developer out maybe have Shayne email him. Guess I will wait to try it when next update comes out

      No its really good on the battery. I used to use a powerbank with Nightcap app. Dont need one for this app.

      @@ShayneMostyn ok. Even adobe lightroom has not included long exposure mode for android applications. Only solution is to use huwai or xiomi phones which has inbuilt modes to capture these kind of sceneries. Samsung is featureless in camera part

      There is a free version I believe and there is certainly a paid version. You get some additional elements like interval saving and RAW files with the paid version.

      You can do this with the intervalometer app as well as light trails app. There are too many phones for developers to get this across all android models.
