Plain old ziplock bags! Large and small - take up no room and you can use them for everything - food, wet bathing suits, bottles that may spill, passport, phone at the beach, etc.

I strongly agree! As a frequent traveller, I have tried and tested most options out there and let me say that zip lock bags remain the best option. Light weight, inexpensive, easy to purpose options. They also hold very little space so they have been my go to together with mesh flat pouches.

Bed bugs can be anywhere in the room. I always go in and start with the bed searching for signs of bed bugs. My son has a pest control business and he has some real stories about what he has seen in homes/hotel rooms and bed bugs. Makes me itch just thinking about them.

Spent many years traveling for work and play - thanks for sharing what you have learned. I do have a luggage rack in each guest bedroom for company but use them when preparing for our trip, the height makes it easy to pack on. As well as hand soap sheets I carry camping soap sheets for washing clothes as it rinses out really well. Love the soap dish - I carry body soap, face soap, shampoo and conditioner all as bars so I have less plastic waste and know I enjoy all my products (and they do not count as liquids).
Hi Patti! Yes, the height of the luggage rack makes packing so much easier! I also find that I can pack so much faster not having to get on the floor every 5 minutes. 😂Yes! This is great! I have a collapsable water bottle that I got on Temu. I will use that when I travel to Las Vegas at the beginning of August this year! The rest of the items are a must have as well. I may look into that portable scale!

I agree with the luggage scale. You can over pack and not realize the pounds are going up. I carry one to even when short times with conferences so I am not toteing around too much. Cable labels are so smart. There are moments that you just need that quick referencel. I lable mine for each divice. Gear tags have replaced my colorful pipe cleaners. Although they still can work they are too thin. Brilliant with the storage bag for toiletries. Another thing I do is put my TSA products in a separate one and then on my arrival spread it out through the organizer. As a frequent traveler loving the incredible products and suggestions.

I use reusable water bottles at home and I keep chilled water in the door of my fridge ,plus I use them in the summer when I go hiking instead of buying a bottle of water and certain places will allow you to fill up reusable water bottles now if you ask nicely .

Same here! I always search out a luggage rack in a hotel room. If no luggage rack, I've been known to place my suitcase on a hard surface instead of the bed or floor. New subscriber here. I didn't know I was bougie :)

I’ve become so obsessed with washing my hands too. 😬 As far as the adapter goes, it depends on where you are going. The universal ones are great because they cover a few ones in Europe. Probably in the same category as your perfume spritzer are the refillable airless pumps and sprays. There are multiple sizes to choose from (I have from 1mL-30mL) and a good way to stay carry on only with all the skincare I use.
I also have TSA compliant toiletry bags. They’re actually bigger than what’s allowed but as long as it’s not a full bulging pack, it’s always been allowed through (as least from the US side).

I have both sizes. My husband uses the smaller one, and I usually use the larger one. However, even the smaller one holds quite a bit of stuff.
I love a luggage rack too and look for them in hotels. But if there are bed bugs, it'd be hard to avoid them taking a ride in your clothes you slept in so putting the luggage bag on the bed or not isn't going to matter I don't think. I do try to pull back the covers and check the mattress next to the headboard to see if there might be infestations but it's hard to 100% detect so one just hopes for the best. Bought the airfly pro and luggage scale - think they will be game changers on next long trip. Toying with the idea of whether to plunk down for air tags as well...Thanks!
Hi Jane!! Yes! Very good point on the bedbugs, they're so hard to avoid if you don't spot them before getting into the bed. They're tricky those sneaky bedbugs. I totally agree with one, sometimes we can only hope for the best. I always check the covers, bedsheets, headboard, and corners too. However, when I got them years ago, you couldn't see them in the bed anyway because they were in the walls, that's why it took me forever to figure out that is was indeed bedbugs. 😬 YAY!! So glad you got the airfly pro and the luggage scale. Yes! They're so great, especially for long trips and Europe, where they are so much stricter with the luggage allowances. Yes! I use Air tags too. But they were a gift from my brother and sister-in-law and they're awesome! 💕

I have the toiletry bag, it’s great the only thing I don’t like is the plastic hook sometimes can’t hold the weight of the bag, but it’s enormous. I also have a luggage rack, I want the mat they put on the bed on the cruise ship. I need that snack holder I have been trying to figure out how to make grown man lunchables! Ps I think you’re very cute fwiw, thanks for the tips. Here’s one for you, I keep a pair of house shoes in my luggage, also a skullcap is small and easy way to keep warm and a trash bag for dirty clothes.

Just saw yesterday a home made soap sheet: just grap 2 paper towels, put liquid soap in one of them, spread it, fold them togheter and let dry. Then cut into peaces and use. 😅😅
