I have a 22 . They pop and crackle all stock for sure. No tune will make tje header stop glowing if you go down that rabbit hole and the clutch is good long as your not tractor pulling with it or have it turned up 20 hp. Just ride it
First thing you do is replace the clutch basket or you can just throw your quad in the trash. If it fails it will destroy your bottom end. Also the vortex ECU improved the performance significantly.
I’ve had a 2009 yfz R & 2013. The best efi controller for these quads is a MSD blaster FI or vortex efi controller. I’ve already had PCV & other controllers in the past. If you want it to run the way it should get yourself a legit efi controller. Sell that PCV…
I just bought a 2019 yfz450r and i think that things taken out in my Exhaust too and it backfires on Deceleration.Did yours backfire on Deceleration before? And if so did thatt fix it, and why did you choose that over the Vortex?
Thats my favorite color way of the 450! Thing sounds really good!
Yeah i like that better than my neon yellow 22

Do those fail commonly on these YFZ's?

What did you do with the old exhaust?
It's on the shelf in the shop.
Is it really a used quad if it doesn't have the baffle removed (and stock jetting/tune) by the previous owner?
its a stock ecu it dont have a tune
its cuz it has a stock ecu get a vortex best 900$ you can spend
