The amount of detail work rebuilding a VW bus in this way shows just why buying one for sale that’s done properly is so expensive. Remember, when you start using it, how much work and love you put into it so you can try and preserve it. Love your videos. I am so sorry for your loss Mitch. Losing a loved one is never easy. Do not dwell on the what ifs as they will eat you up. I remember when I lost my grandfather 21 years ago. I got stuck in a snow storm and was delayed by 2 days. When I finally got back on the road I still had almost 18 hours of driving left. He passed 2 hours before I got home. I spent a lot of time thinking about the what if I had done this or that and I finally came to the realization that there was nothing I could have done differently. Like you I didn't have money for flying home so I had to drive for over 2 days. Just remember the good times and be thankful for the time you got to spend with him. Kona is really starting to look like a show stopper. I love your attention to detail. You and Lori are a great team.

You probably already have the bus done... but you were so busy while you were doing it that you simply didn't have the time to edit the videos and upload them. Cool strategy, but now we know that all this was like 2 years ago.
Mitch, You were looking for rear lights for reverse and illumination ? Had you considered an interior light shining thru rear hatch window via a light bar ? You could integrate a modern style 3rd taillight there in middle and make it a VW logo that illuminates when braking so it's visible to cars behind from further than immediate car behind you... The reverse lights could also be triggered by a dash switch with a timer for safer passenger access around rear...
