I need Cam to reel in his jealousy of Russ and try to be more objective. He was saying Justin was "balling" but doesn't want to give Russ credit for elevating the offense in 2 games after a year of not playing football. Everybody knows you need a top defense to get to and win a Super Bowl. Why is he talking about the LOB and how Russ needs to prove he can win without them? Russ is way past that and if anybody paid attention to his last 5-6 years in Seattle, they'd know he carried those teams when there was no more LOB. He often had to be the hero and was always asked to go win it in the 4th Qtr under Pete Carroll. Russ is a winner and has the intangibles that just can't be taught. He isn't fighting anything being on the Steelers. He finally is in a position where he doesn't have to put a team on his back. He just needs to play his azz off which he is doing and will continue to do. I also think the difficulty of the last half of the schedule is greatly exaggerated. I actually like that they are playing all their divisional opponents so closely together. It's great preparation for the playoffs.
You must not watch Steeler football because Warren hasn’t been healthy all year there was 2 games where it was only Naj & Shampkin or whatever as the #2 dude is a substitute teacher on his free time & cause Patterson was out as well. Ima lay it all out how it seems to me… The offense gets better and better each week, and really hasn’t made many mistakes all season long. We just added another big body receiver, exactly something that we needed. The pass game is present, and it strengthens the run game. Special teams may be the best special teams in the whole league, which can’t be overlooked. Chris Boswell has pretty much been a lights out top tier kicker for us… & everybody and their grandma knows how good the defense is. We’ve got some solid coaches and the best fans in the league sitting at 6-2 after a bye. Our remaining opponents are tough, but I think our team is literally built the right way to make a push, and I’m not just being a fan.
This reminds me of 08' so much. Incredible defense, pretty good offense that couldnt get too much going in the first half of the season, and a monster schedule that was the hardest that year that ended in us winning one of the greatest superbowls of all time💯

I think people underestimate this: the Steelers don’t leave a neighboring state (DC isn’t a state, but only a four hour drive). They never leave the time zone. They never even have to travel 300 miles for the rest of the year. Same weather patterns, limited travel, and familiarity with upcoming opponents outside of Washington will make this team dangerous.
And lost to the Colts and Cowboys with Justin bc the offense couldn't do anything against those defenses that are worse than both the Jets and Giants defenses....
both have good deenses whether their record shows it or not and we put up points on them defenses, that giants pash rush under Fields would have gotten fields running backwards 20 yards and fumbling like he does everytime theress pressure getting us out of fg range and literally running out of the redzone putting us in 3rd and 24 cause of some pressure.

Who has the Commanders played that are a top 10 defense? The Bears..that's it. They lit up the Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Cardinals, and the Giants twice. If you want to bring up who have the Steelers played but you completely ignore that the Commanders schedule has been against all bottom of the league defenses

They always do the Steelers dirty with the scheduling. Them and the Bears are the only teams to not have had a divisonal game yet, but some already have 4 played. I dont get it. I suppose it makes for good late season viewing, but i think it takes away from how well a team has come from beginning to end of season
6 & 2 halfway through our season is amazing no matter which 8 teams we've played. Before the start of the season, many probably looked at their Washington's game as a "W." NOW...the professionals on the Commanders have changed the narrative. So no game is automatic when you are dealing with professionals. No one expected a healthy Bengals team to be 4 & 6 and most definitely didn't expect a Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett & Deshaun Watson Browns to be 2 & 7. Take no team for granted. In 2004 the Steelers issued two undefeated teams their first loss in back-to-back weeks. They made it to the AFC Championship game and lost.
I´m Steelers fan but I think to be a SB contender an elite OL is required and more playmakers and improvement the defense against runnning plays. It´s the reality not just another weird dream. I think they gonna be in playoffs and win (at least) one playoff game. Russell Wilson has more test games and they´re in the corner but he looks that he can make the job. Cool.
our O-line is very solid. only point of doubt is BJ. but Dan Moore, Isaac, Zach, Mason have all performed incredibly well this season.................. for playmakers. between Najee, Warren, Coradarelle when he returns, Mike Williams, GP, Muth, Washington, CA3, Van Jefferson you dont feel we have enough. and potentially Justin fields packages. we have more then it seems. and an experienced QB now that will get the most out of them. ................ against the run. i think we will shore it back up. to start with Preston Smith is in fact really good against the run. and i have a feeling they in fact have been running vanilla defense all season so far. keeping everyone stationary. only rushing 4 (lowest blitzing team in the league right now). i think they are about to start breaking out more stuff and that will start confusing teams since they wont have it on tape. .............. that being said. next 2 weeks will say a lot.
OLINE is our biggest weakness and i am calling it now that we WILL run deep into the playoffs and BRODERICK JONES WILL be the motherfucker that ruins the game for us with drive killing penalties and sacks. Just as easily as he made the giants look like contenders
Commanders are going to be a tough battle for the Steelers. This is a game the Steelers need to rise up to if they really want to be considered a playoff team.
Steelers are getting 2 wins against the bengals, 2 wins against the browns, 1 win against the ravens, and beating the eagles and the chiefs' bench squad. This game determines our season.
they have beaten 3 teams that are currently in the playoffs. its better then what ppl are trying to make it out to be.............. also some of their wins are against teams that other elite teams struggled with much more............ for example. the bills only beat the jets by 3 points. the texans lost to the jets. ppl love to say we only beat the jets. but we stomped them. its not only who you play. but how you play them.
I want to see the Steelers beat a good team. I wish we saw Russ vs the Broncos defense to see how good the offense would be against a top tier defense. Otherwise they really have played a bunch of avg to below avg teams and have won only 2 matchups by more than one score and that’s the raiders and jets who are two of the bottom 5 teams in football (record wise). Commanders and Ravens are good measuring sticks in the next two weeks. Cam is correct in his assessment for what we have currently seen.
SAS got the question wrong, it is not who has the higher chance to be in the super bowl, which is clearly the Steelers. Sleeper means someone who do not expect to be there in the big game, so the Commanders is the easy pick as they are the least expected, aka sleeper, to be in the SB....Shannon and Cam got the question right.

From a playoff perspective, I see the Commanders going further than the Steelers simply because their offense is better and they play in the weaker conference. Steelers are the better defense but they play in the slaughter fest that is the AFC conference. Too many big dog QBs that turn up their offense on a dime. Russ is competent but I don't think he can have shootouts like he used in Seattle.

Who has the Commanders played that are a top 10 defense? The Bears..that's it. They lit up the Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Cardinals, and the Giants twice. They always do the Steelers dirty with the scheduling. Them and the Bears are the only teams to not have had a divisonal game yet, but some already have 4 played. I dont get it. NOW...the professionals on the Commanders have changed the narrative. So no game is automatic when you are dealing with professionals. No one expected a healthy Bengals team to be 4 & 6 and most definitely didn't expect a Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett & Deshaun Watson Browns to be 2 & 7. Take no team for granted. In 2004 the Steelers issued two undefeated teams their first loss in back-to-back weeks. They made it to the AFC Championship game and lost.

I´m Steelers fan but I think to be a SB contender an elite OL is required and more playmakers and improvement the defense against runnning plays. It´s the reality not just another weird dream. I think they gonna be in playoffs and win (at least) one playoff game. Russell Wilson has more test games and they´re in the corner but he looks that he can make the job. Cool.
our O-line is very solid. only point of doubt is BJ. but Dan Moore, Isaac, Zach, Mason have all performed incredibly well this season.................. for playmakers. between Najee, Warren, Coradarelle when he returns, Mike Williams, GP, Muth, Washington, CA3, Van Jefferson you dont feel we have enough. and potentially Justin fields packages. we have more then it seems. and an experienced QB now that will get the most out of them. ................ against the run. i think we will shore it back up. to start with Preston Smith is in fact really good against the run. and i have a feeling they in fact have been running vanilla defense all season so far. keeping everyone stationary. only rushing 4 (lowest blitzing team in the league right now). i think they are about to start breaking out more stuff and that will start confusing teams since they wont have it on tape. .............. that being said. next 2 weeks will say a lot.
OLINE is our biggest weakness and i am calling it now that we WILL run deep into the playoffs and BRODERICK JONES WILL be the motherfucker that ruins the game for us with drive killing penalties and sacks. Just as easily as he made the giants look like contenders

I want to see the Steelers beat a good team. I wish we saw Russ vs the Broncos defense to see how good the offense would be against a top tier defense. Otherwise they really have played a bunch of avg to below avg teams and have won only 2 matchups by more than one score and that’s the raiders and jets who are two of the bottom 5 teams in football (record wise). Commanders and Ravens are good measuring sticks in the next two weeks. Cam is correct in his assessment for what we have currently seen.

From a playoff perspective, I see the Commanders going further than the Steelers simply because their offense is better and they play in the weaker conference. Steelers are the better defense but they play in the slaughter fest that is the AFC conference. Too many big dog QBs that turn up their offense on a dime. Russ is competent but I don't think he can have shootouts like he used in Seattle.
