Saw this many times at NAS Dallas back in the day....always impresses from ground level!

Are the tail hooks only partially down at first? Do they blow back if the airspeed is high enough?

The hook can start to blow back above 300 kts, so they probably are a bit blown back in this video

@@AirTales Nice, thanks. DCS doesn't seem to model this. You can drop the hook at Mach 1 and it goes all the way down, lol.
