VERY short analysis of STL from the two Edinburgh shows: 1st night: Very energetic (doing a C#5 and a C5 towards the end) and playful. 2nd night: Very creative (especially the 2nd bridge) and emotional (intro solo and the outro, doing a nice Ab5 falsetto). Both different but awesome versions.
This was my first ever gig that I went to in my life. Freddie had a presence on stage and the crowd in his hand. It sounds as tremendous as my distant memories remember. Fantastic !!! Thank you for posting
No words somebody to live is wonderful simply fantastic...queen ❤ My Farrokh Bulsara was singing with all your love and all your soul❤. Simply Freddie Mercury a legend❤ simply queen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@laxmikrishnashrestha811 Montreal version is great as well but this version have him hitting almost every key note and even hitting C5s in the outroduction which Montreal version don't. The Montreal version is popular bcoz of it's video and audio quality.
This was the first ever gig I attended. I was 15 years old. The weather was glorious. I was standing less than 6ft away from the stage in the first row. Freddie threw water over the crowd to cool us down. I got soaked. Thank you for sharing this clip. Freddie had a true presence.
Live Killers was a great tour instrumentally. As much as you guys like to fap to stuff like 2nd Newcastle (Brian’s worst show) appreciate the instrumentation
Of course. I think the best version, after the Crazy Tour, is Sao Paulo. Freddie nails the entire song. Plus, the outro part is awesome, with a fantastic and clean C5!
@Gregsynthbootlegs I don't know, I will need to listen to this one with headphones to hear the full effect of his voice. Freddie is amazing, every performance offers something different. So far from casually listening I think the bowl is the strongest performance of the song. I think that both nights in Edinburgh are amazing, Queen always did an amazing job during the European stretch. of their tours.
William Allan the magic tour was a relatively short tour in terms of Queen. Only 26 dates. Newcastle was the closest they got to the Scottish border. Shame as Queen at Hampden, Ibrox, Celtic Park, Murrayfield would have been a brilliant spectacle.
yes! now I remember! you are right. the jim hutton book also says it. he had huge voice problems at wembley. its kind of sad, because he dominated the world in wembly during live aid & then when they come back to wembley in 86 his voice fails. still better than alot other singers, but not as flexible as in the past.
@Gregsynthbootlegs true, but Queen aint just Freddie, its Brian, John and Rodger as well and just because Freddie sounds great in this concert, doesnt mean the rest of the band sound great. With Milton Keyes, all sound great, and best of all, they have the most fun captured on film and the result show, visually and musically, this is why lots of songs from the milton keyes concert are the best you can hear live
Great concert so far! Greg, since you seem to be an expert, do you know when Freddie hit a c5 for the first time in a live setting? Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hear so many Queen shows!
@Gregsynthbootlegs I think it is pretty amazing how well and inspired the band were even though Hot Space was considered a critical and commercial flop. Personally I like Hot Space, even its cheesy moments.....well not all of them...lol.
@Gregsynthbootlegs yeah! I e-mailed you the full sao paulo version & you should get it in any minute. And yeah, did you know that he actually sings another C5 chest voice note during Wembley? Most people dont realize it, but it is in Who Wants To Live Forever. Check it out
@Gregsynthbootlegs Hot Space gets a bad rap but it is a decent album. I never understand people because Queen IMO always had the same elements found on Hot Space on other albums....Fun It, ABTD, and few others seem inspired of the same vein so I don't get it. Also it has mostly rock style tunes and soft rock light tunes. All the varying styles is why Queen is a better rock band than the rest, they love all music.
2:24 The one super dedicated fan!
i keep on seeing you around... Big Boss
Ioan Evetts I like Queen.
xthatGhomiex as do I
Yes, the audience member nailed it! Very nice pitch as well.
@@rickysld he really nailed it! I wished Freddie was the one who nail it
A nice note for this performance: Someone in the audience sings the Bb4 so Freddie doesn't have to!!!!! :P 2:24

Awesome!
Three C5s!!!!
We have a nice little bird singing C5s at 5:51, that's nice! :D
2:34 I like the way the crowd hit the "eeeevery" part flawlessly :)
5.52 - 5.57 Freddie seems to hit high C THREE times... I just had a Queengasm!
2:24-2:27 Good vocals from the audience :D
That was spot on
Not counting the Crazy Tour ones, this is the best version.
I would say NY 28 is best hot space
Honestly I think this one may top the crazy versions due to the stronger power.
38 years of the best stl ever! He reach and nail the high notes like a God in Earth! Rest in peace,Freddie(1946-1991)
Yeah for me second best version behind Hammy!
@@iamjudy6518this is better than

also the newcastle 12/3/1979 has him hitting all the notes i believe
thanks greg.....this version is amazing....specially in 5:51. Thanks for share it with us
Absolutely the best version of the song for the outro, with Newcastle 1979
Love this version
goosebumps

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW ! what a voice, and band!
This is why I love Queen
THE BEST STL LIVE VERSION fREDDIE IN FUCKING FIRE!
For this song alone, I love Freddie. Totally different live than in studio, but still great!
A note to Queen's crew: publish those concerts instead of the awful "Live Killers"
i mean live killers okay but live magic? EWWW garbage
Boredom some concerts only are good
I love live killers and magic but there are some concerts which really should’ve been filmed/ released
Live Killers was a great tour instrumentally. As much as you guys like to fap to stuff like 2nd Newcastle (Brian’s worst show) appreciate the instrumentation
