I received my Kinbor weeks the other day. I was really surprised at how much I like it! Last year I ordered a Hobonichi Weeks and never even used it. HUGE price difference.
I absolutely love kinbor. I have already bought the one with the bows on it!! Probably will be using it for work. I use a hobo weeks for work right now so I think it would be an easy transition! I hope who ever wins enjoys it. So generous of you to do this. I won’t be entering. But good luck everyone!
Absolutely LOVE Kinbor! I ditched my Hobonichi for them a few years ago and will never go back. I won’t be entering but wanted to say how nice it is for you to do the give away! Good luck to everyone who enters!! Hope you love your Kinbor as much as I’ve loved mine!
🍂 I just discovered Kinbor by watching videos. I’m always behind the trends. I have a few empty Stalogy B6 but was considering an actual planner this year. The geese planner is adorable. It would be great to carry in my purse but the A5 would be perfect for planning my bible study or for a social media planner. Thank you for sharing them.
Not joining/qualified for the promo so here's a❤instead. 🥰 Love your video about KInbor, and I love their new layout too! I've been using Kinbor planners for a while now but have only recently seen videos about the brand. Thank you for also mentioning that they do copy designs of other brands. We appreciate this. Have a great day!
I'm so glad you enjoy their planners too. I'm glad to see that they are being shared more (even if they are a knock-off) because we do need different options...and not everyone likes Tomoe River paper!
Kinbor is a really great product for the price! I started off with the Cousin minus weeks style a couple of years ago (Love this!). This year I added the puffy Cookie weeks (my vendor called it Cookie), the A5 Quad, and the A5 Jibun style to play around with too!
That's awesome! I used the daily one for a creative journal in the past and it was a lot of fun. So excited that you got the new style and the Jibun one too. Funny how different vendors call them different names. Cookie is a great name for it. I love that it's so squishy!
Since I already won the Papertess Pocket giveaway you had earlier this year, I won’t be entering the giveaway, but I appreciate you sharing the details of this brand. I’ve never used or seen a Kinbor planner so it was fun seeing the layout/designs. Those geese are adorable!
🍁 I would love to try the A5! I have been using the bullet journal method in a blank A5 for about 6 years. I just don't have time to set up layouts each month and am itching to try a new primary planner system. Thanks for going over these options.
🍁 so glad I found you! Checking out the rest of the videos now! I am using my first Weeks, also my first non-discbound! I would love to try out the A5 size for daily journaling. For me it's easier to build a routine with a page already laid out. I don't want to only write when I have time to creatively junk journal lol
🍁 would love to try the A5 for daily logging to be used later in my creative memory keeping journal. Thank you for the chance! Really looking forward to trying you just scribble planner this year!
I started using the Hobonichi Weeks when I was in college, and absolutely fell in love with their Tomoe River paper! I used it for three years straight, and it helped me survive tons of shifts and deadlines. But then, I decided to switch to bullet journaling because I was getting a little tired of the quotes in the Hobonichi. This year, I picked up a Kinbor A6, and I’m really hoping to put it to good use! Oh, and fun fact: Chinese and Japanese both use kanji (the same characters, just pronounced differently). The Tomoe River paper we all love is written as 巴川 in kanji-'Tomoe-gawa' in Japanese ('gawa' means river) and 'Bachuan' in Chinese. And yes, Kinbor does use the same Tomoe River paper-I tested it out myself, and it’s exactly the same! I’m also hoping to add a Weeks to my 2025 lineup.🍁
Glad you found Kinbor. I hope you enjoy the A6. It's a great, portable size. Thanks for the explanation of the kanji. TRP was named after the Tomoegawa River by the company (Tomoegawa Paper Company) that produced it (before selling the rights and recipe to Sanzen). It's interesting you say your paper is the same because the paper I have is not the same as the 52gsm Sanzen TRP (I've used it in the past and have these new 2025 versions as well). And although similar it does not have the same texture or weight. It's close but not the same. I appreciate you sharing that the kanji is the same in both countries. Maybe Kinbor sources a different gsm from Sanzen or a copycat version.
@@JustScribble Thank you so much for your explanation! I've only tried the 68gsm Sanzen Tomoe River Paper from Goodinkpressions when it comes to the new Tomoe River paper. I don’t have the new Hobonichi Tomoe River paper on hand right now, and Kinbor’s paper feels pretty similar for both my fountain pens and dip pens. By the way, if you ever come across the old Tomoe River paper from the 7th machine, even if it's just in blank or grid form, I’d buy it in a heartbeat! So far, I haven’t found any paper that showcases ink quite like the old Hobonichi.
🍁 I'd love to try the A5 planner. I hadn't seen this weekly layout before. Thanks for sharing your love of stationery with us and for the giveaway opportunity.
🍁 I'm loving the kinbor! I don't really have the money this year to try hobonichi for the first time, so this is a great option to feel it out for me. Any would be good, but if given a preference, I'd take the a5. Thank you for doing this!
🍁 the weeks style. I'd use it as my mailn planner for 2025. I've been making my own for a few years, but I've always been tempted by this style of planner.
🍂 i’d love to try the A5 planner. always have been and always will be planner and notebook obsessed! i love that you continue to try different things and share them with your audience / customer base. I also think your products are elite and your customers would not be tempted to forego them, but it’s fun to test things out and keeps the hobby (obsession 😅) interesting. 😊
Thank you for this video! I've been eyeing the A5 kinbor with the new layout and this convinced me to get it for my 2025 planner line up. I'm a vertical weekly layout girlie but I want to try something new for next year. Ill be getting a weeks for the first time ever too. The geese design is just way too cute. I couldn't resist 😂
🍁I would love the A5! I have been wanting to try that type of layout for so long but it makes me nervous since it would be a new layout. My thought is that I would use it as a sort of daily brain dump/task list! I love the colors of the Kinbor ones. Thanks for sharing this! ❤
[leaf] I would love to try the weeks planner- This year I started my fountain pen journey and I definitely want to get back into journaling and planning next year at my office job.
Just received an a6 to test out for journaling inside of instead of standard notebook. Like a page a day being dated to hold me accountable so to speak...tehe. finally seeing what the big talk is about these papers ...so satisfying to write on...Im learning how to get over the ghosting on these papers from kinbor and Nolty. Looking forward to see your choices for 2025 soon. Btw ...dont mind me as I do my marathon on your channel this weekend again..tehe. so much to catch up on and learn..tehe. Cheers 😊
🍁 I would use the A5 for 2025’s Bible study journal. I’m currently in an A5 stalogy for that but would rather have a little more structure with the weeklies in the Kinbor and use the grid pages for overflow if I need more room for a particular day’s study notes and possibly sermon notes.
🍂🍁I would love to try the A5 Pal it would work well with my triphasic sleep schedule. I work in three sleep work phases in a 24 hr clock period. Thank you so much for sharing.🍁🍂
🍁 even tho I preordered your planner the horz a5 I am buying a few of thease tuesday. Because I want to see how they work as well I want both of thease as well as thier a5 daily
🍁 They all are adorable but I'm thinking of the grilled cheese/ toast weeks style one as a heath tracker. Newly diagnosed with diabetes and looking for something to carry to keep track of meals and glucose numbers and the pages in the back would be perfect to add some recipes. I currently use a B6 for my everyday planner and memory keeping. Thanks for sharing these.😊
🍁 I would love to try out the weeks. I would use it to separate my personal planning and my work planning. I've been thinking of doing that for 2025 but don't know what planner to use so this would be great for that. 🙂
🍁 I would love to try the weeks planner. I would use it for organising all my medical school study tasks and keep track of the syllabus and exams . It would be the perfect size to carry in the hospital as well
❤🍁🍂It’s like you read my mind. I have been looking at Kinbor planners and watching for reviews. For 2025, I’m not going to be able to afford to try multiple planners to “find” what works because most are so expensive. A dupe will be ideal. I think A5 is most likely the right size for me for a all in one planner. I do need a pre-planning planner for all the appointments and meetings I have and a Weeks might work for that. This year I used an A5 size Inaimo planner I found on Amazon for pre-planning and it has been a great Cousin weekly section dupe but I can’t find that for 2025. Thanks for sharing your finds and for your generosity. ❤🍂🍁
🍁 Tough decision! I'm going to say weeks. I get the knock off thing, but they seem to be doing well regardless. I definitely can't afford to spend that much money for something I'm not sure I would even like! So thank you for showing alternatives. 😁
🍁 I would love to try one of the Weeks! I am going to start tracking my health next year in a separate planner, and love that the trackers are more extensive in this version of the weeks as compared to Hobonichi. Thank you!!
🍂 I would love the Weeks planner, specifically the geese. I homeschool my kids and go to college full time so I would use the planner to keep track of basically everything. Thanks for sharing your review. 😊
Rachel - I had to select a new A5 Kinbor winner as the selected winner had to bow out. Round been selected as the new winner. Please email me at JustScribble.yt@gmail.com to claim your prize.
🍁 I would love to win the A5 grey kinbor. The layout would be amazing for my meal tracking. I have a special way of eating and have to keep track of it very thoroughly for my doctor. The fact that I can make each day into 3 rows or 6 boxed areas is awesome. I've always used a hobonochi except for these last 2 years. The prices have gotten really high and it's no longer affordable. My medication will always take precedent over my planning but this is very affordable. I'm so happy you posted this layout because I haven't seen anyone else get it and show off the layout 🥳
🍁I live in Louisiana and it DEFINITELY does not feel like fall. It was in the 90's today. LOL. But I still appreciate this Autumn giveaway! I would love one of the week's planners to use functionally next year as my weekly list & habit tracker and then on the left notating down what DID get done each day for ease of tracking.
🍂🍁 It would nice to try the weeks size planner. I've never used that size. I would make it my purse/travel planner to keep up with both of my kids schedule. 🧡🧡🧡
It’s a great layout. The giveaway closed last week but there are links in the description box to them on AliExpress. Or you can search A5 Kinbor 2025 on AliExpress and they’ll come up.
🍁 These are lovely! Thank you for doing this giveaway. I’ve been checking out Kinbor recently & would love to try the “Cheese” weeks. This would be my health & wellness journal 🍁
🍁🍂I would like the A5 and I would use it as a language study planner. Thanks for doing this and showing alternatives outside of your own. much appreciated😍
Sorry - I have to balance giveaways and postage since I do them often throughout the year. The Geese Weeks is super cute (I love it). I did include a link to the shop I bought from - but you can also search up Kinbor 2025 geese on AliExpress and you should be able to find them for around $10 USD. Thanks so much for watching!
🍂I enjoy thevwrekly block layout from Peanuts Planner Co and would love to try in a bound book. OMGosh, you are absolutely right. That is a perfect description of the paper. Tamoe River/Stalogy. I actually prefer stalogy and bachuan paper over TR. It all boils down to accessibility and affordability. Stalogy is easily accessible and cheaper than TR, still pricey though! Bachuan is not as accessible bu very much affordable. If it were more accessible it would likely be my no 1 paper pick.
🍁 I’ve never tried a Kinbor but have been curious. I’d like the weeks size because I’m usually an A5 planner so would like to try something different. Thank you.
I'm not in the US so not entering the giveaway. Great video though! I'm considering maybe trying a Kinbor weeks next year. The geese is one of the covers I'd consider if I go for it (so cute!) - or maybe the green one with the leaves/ferns on.
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I think the geese are just so cute! I really love the colorway. It was really hard not to keep it because it's so darn cute!
I bought kinbor A5 and weeks for 2025 to check out for the first time. I bought hobonichi cousin for 25, but thinking about switching in the future if I like kinbor. Love Hobo but it's very expensive😅
Yes it is very expensive! I love TRP and for me it's worth it if it's in the right layout and I've got the funds but this is such a great alternative. I hope you enjoy yours. You'll have to tell me what you think once you get into them for 2025!
🍁🍁🍁 thank you for sharing this! Kinbor is stepping up their designs! Hoping to win in this giveaway... would like to win either one... the a5 looks promising ❤❤❤
Been looking for an alternative planner to the PAL as it seems that its sold out or incredibly difficult to find unless you know Chinese. The Kinbor is about 3/4 in what I'm looking for, but seeing the exact layout of the PAL is disheartening. Got to admit though it is tempting.
Oh the PAL is harder to find but it’s also not launched yet - it’s on preorder and won’t ship until October/November. You can actually preorder one on Yosekas site currently. But this is a great alternative! yosekastationery.com/products/bushimen-pal-planner-2025
Unrelated question for the stationary guru: do you know where I might find loose leaf Midori MD paper? Or does paperpenguin offer something comparable? I’m checking out their site now, thanks to one of your other videos. Do they sell loose leaf paper that’s hole-punched and ready for use in a plotter? I’m sorry to ask, but It’s kind of a lot to take in lol
Although I've never seen MD paper in looseleaf they do sell it in notepads so you could get that and use that to print on or punch for ring planners. I'd have to think what paper Dominique offers that would be comparable but she's so amazing you could also email her to ask what she'd recommend. Plotter sells paper that's cut and punched for their planners. And PaperPenguin does sell pre-punched paper that is in the sizes that Plotter makes (pocket, personal and A5). However I prefer to punch the pages myself with my 4mm punch (linked in my amazon storefront) because that punch is ideal for Plotter and it's small rings. That way the paper slides better on the rings. You can have her send the paper punched or unpunched if memory serves.
@@JustScribble one more question, I’ve seen the plotter rings called “11mm” and you use a 4mm punch, are these measuring different things? Will the 4mm punch work on 11mm rings?
@@Shmyrk the 11mm is the diameter of the rings (the circle the rings make which determines how chunky you can fill the planner). 4mm is the size of the whole that the punch makes to slide on the rings.
I've used gel pens, markers, and fountain pens as well as watercolor on this paper in the past and did not have issues with ghosting or bleed-thru. Although I don't have a lot of flip-thrus of my Kinbor planners you can see a bit at the very beginning of this video for reference. th-cam.com/video/lK6Dgw7ntXo/w-d-xo.html
@@JustScribble thank you! I like the 68gsm of Take A Note and got a MIDORI hibino… which I think I will regret now due to the ghosting issue. So was thinking about supplementing with a less expensive planner like this one
@@ChooseToDo I love 68gsm and was going to use that for my 2025 planners but the new Sanzen 68gsm is not good at all (I shared a video testing it) and I can’t source the old 68gsm since it’s no longer being produced so alas had to go with 52gsm for my planners. I don’t mine ghosting personally but understand it’s not for everyone.

🍁 I would love to have the A5 for the office- it would be a perfect work planner.
🍁 I’ve been wanting to try Kinbor!!! I would like the A5 and it will be my work planner!
🍁 Oh, I love this! I’d use the geese one for my livestock farm to track expenses🖤
🍂I love the A5 size for creative journaling en memory planning. Thanks!
🍁the A5 would be perfect for my grad school planner!
🍂 I would love to try the A5 Kinbor!!!
🍁 I would love to try the A5 quadrant layout. I think it would be perfect for writing Bible verses each day.
🍂🍁 It would nice to try the weeks size planner. I've never used that size. I would make it my purse/travel planner to keep up with both of my kids schedule. 🧡🧡🧡
🍁I would like either. I would use the A5 for work . The weeks i would use for EDC in my purse for home.
🍁 Would love to try the A5 Kinbor for daily to-dos
🍁 Never tried a Kinbor. The swan/geese? weeks looks adorable.
I would enjoy trying the year of planning in the a5 … looks dreamy!
Congratulations you were selected as the winner of the "Cheese" Kinbor Weeks. Please email me at justscribble.yt@gmail.com to claim your prize!
🍁🍂I would like the A5 and I would use it as a language study planner. Thanks for doing this and showing alternatives outside of your own. much appreciated😍
🍁 i would love the A5 and i'd use it for health planner!
Oh boo! 😢US only! So wanted the Geese Weeks!
🍂🍁 I would like to use the A5 for health and wellness.
The geese weeks for memory keeping and daily journaling. 🍁
🍁 A5 please. I've not heard of kimbor before, but this looks fabulous.
Congratulations you were selected as the winner of the A5 Kinbor. Please email me at justscribble.yt@gmail.com to claim your prize!
🍁 I'm interested in the A5 as a memory keeper!
I like the A5 because I have a lot of appointments and i write big🍁
Thank you for such a detailed review of the kinbor weekly planner! No seller would answer me if it starts in december 2024 like in hobonichi weeks 😭
You are very welcome! I am glad it helped.
🍁 a5. I would use it as a health planner!
🍁 I’d love to win the Geese Weeks to use for meal planning! Love your videos!❤
🍁I would love to win a weeks sized planner and use it as my edc in 2025. Thanks for sharing kinbor planners and your generosity!
I definitely want the Kindor and notebook .
They are a very nice planner for a great price!

🍁 thank you for sharing
🍂 I would like to win the A5 planner. I would use it strictly for work. 😊
{LEAF} I would love the weeks size to use for meal planning, shopping lists and recipes.
{Leaf} A5 please. I've used the PAL planner for a few years as my main planner. I would like to try a bigger size and I am curious about the paper.
@@JustScribble awesome thanks so much. I always forget about the storefront. I’ll use that as often as possible, thank you.
@@JustScribble one more question, I’ve seen the plotter rings called “11mm” and you use a 4mm punch, are these measuring different things? Will the 4mm punch work on 11mm rings?
check jet pens
(I'm not affiliated in any way)
@@Shmyrk the 11mm is the diameter of the rings (the circle the rings make which determines how chunky you can fill the planner). 4mm is the size of the whole that the punch makes to slide on the rings.
🍁Can you do a fountain pen test on this paper? I'd like either the A5 or the Cheese Toast one to use a writing tracker
I have used FPs on them in the past and they've worked great. I'll make a note to pull one out and test it and share in a video or on a short.
@@JustScribble Thank you! With all the recent paper changes, I wanted to double check with the newest versions
Can the Kinbor paper be written with fountain pen?
Yes I've used FP on mine in the past and it worked nicely. It also held up to watercolors as well.
What kind of pens do you use on this paper? Does it ghost badly
@@JustScribbleI wonder if the Take A Note will perform badly… they use 68gsm usually, right? Are you going to use TAN in 2025?
