Bosqueazul House: Harmonious Integration with Nature

The Bosqueazul House, designed by ALH Taller de Arquitectura and located in Medellín, Colombia, exemplifies a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. With a total area of 370 m², this 2021 residence emphasizes a continuous relationship with its surrounding forest. Floor-to-ceiling stained-glass windows and open volumes enhance this connection, allowing nature to play a central role in the living experience. The use of timeless materials such as twice burnt craft brick, splint concrete, raw steel, and wood ensures the house ages gracefully, merging with its environment. The interior features Catalan vaults, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Both natural and artificial lighting are meticulously integrated, highlighting the materiality and design of the house.
