- Red Hat OpenShift 4.12 introduces a powerful way to deploy OpenShift clusters: the Agent-Based Installer. This new method eliminates the need for a connection to the internet, making it ideal for disconnected environments.
The Agent-Based installer combines the ease of use of the Assisted Installer cloud service with the ability to run completely offline. A new agent subcommand of the OpenShift installer openshift-install will do the magic generating a bootable image containing all of the information required to deploy an OpenShift cluster.

nice and appreciate to cover the full long video from 1.)_ getting all the stuffs from internet connected environment, 2.) how to transfer images or data to airgap environment and 3.) install the airgap offline environment
crisp and short. great. helpful. thanks. 👍🏻
Based on the OpenShift 4.12 documentation, I don't see the support to install Agent based installation for OpenStack platform.
I cannot get my hosts to boot from the resulting agent.x86_64.iso. It seems to only work if I use PiKVM and attach as a cdrom, but I can't attach to all 3 hosts at the same time. If I use `dd` to create the image the host doesn't see it as bootable. If I use something like Ventoy or Rufus it can boot, but fails to boot all the way failing to mount /run/media/iso.
Wow thx for this video. Is this installation method supported even if provider is none?
In this first release it is for single-node OpenShift, working on the rest of topologies atm
@@pankepasa2 keep up! this really simplifies the process
