Love to see Jake gets some positive vibes from one of his contestants after the bizarre luck from season 1 and the Crag Brag going so disastrously. Joezack getting fleeced at the trade deadline is tough to watch.
New format looks promising, but if it doesn't work out... Allow me to propose another scoring system that puts more emphasis on individual event wins. In game scoring: 1 point for every round individual win while player is under your control (4 pts handed out per episode) 2 pts for an individual player Agrocrag win. End of episode scoring: 1st place gets 3 pts and 3rd pick next episode, 2nd gets 1 pt, 3rd gets 0 pts and first pick next episode. So that means if a person picks a competitor that sweeps the entire competition in an episode then they will have earned 9pts but have third pick. That's pretty unlikely though, since it is rare for one kid to sweep. And it opens up a opportunity for strategic play such as earning three wins and a likely first place finish in an episode, the trading away before the crag.
REQUEST: When you choose the thumbnail for the episode, can you be careful not to expose the winner? For example, in this episode it says, "The most impressive GUTS contestant ever?", and the winner is shown in the thumbnail. Why should it matter?! Because my two kids and I play along at home. Details... - We draft immediately after J, J, & JZ complete their draft. - We have the same trade deadline as J, J, & JZ. - We like to stay warm, so we wear red, blue, and purple blankets to identify our picks. So it's definitely possible that the thumbnail can influence our draft, and it has so far in a couple of episodes. If it's all the same to y'all at Jomboy Media, keeping that hint out of the thumbnail makes playing along at home more viable.
Joez gave into peer pressure. But wild that you trade away guaranteed Mickey Mantle for IKF and then for the chance at Alfonso Soriano, keep in mind, the CHANCE at that. I mean.... wtf.
Purple was a big disappointment, one of the worst tactical players we've seen. Going for full strength spikes in volleyball rather than controlled tap backs, going high in the elastic jungle, waiting for her pitch in baseball, and missing two actuators on the Crag. She was never going to beat Red but she should have sailed to a second place finish.
Making trades for 1/4 of the season on game one is a disaster of an idea. What’s gonna be left to trade in the future? There needs to be other things added to the mix to make trades more interesting. Picks don’t matter if you’re down 4-0 points.
Hindsight is 20/20, but in the moment I liked the trade. Process was solid, you're choosing between: -A surefire 4 points, but nothing else -Likely 2 points, plus two future pick swaps to increase your odds of getting 2 or 4 points on the future So the potential payoff of the trade nets you a max of 10, points instead of just 4. It was just too much upside value to pass up imo Where it really went wrong is that purple just collapsed down the stretch, but that woulda been hard to see coming
I need you guys to pay attention to the 2 helpers at the top of the volleyball event helping blue and red because they would hit a jump 5 every time and it’s hilarious
I can't decide if the guys are genuinely that inept at math and logic or if it's just a ruse, but I can't stop laughing at it either! And I'm not even a Kushy Dreams user.
Sure, at the time Chris' revolutionary bunting style seemed to be the way to win the baseball event. But modern analytics would argue that Stacey's approach of being more selective and taking pitches with no bunting is the better play in the long run
Congrats to Jake on a solid first place victory! It's been a long time coming. I think this trade was fair. Jake gave up a lot of capital to get Chris. On a side note, Jimmy really blew this #1 pick but I don't blame him. Brandon's energy coming out of the tunnel immediately made him seem like a solid pick. And from seeing them standing all standing next to each other and being a similarly sized there was no way to tell that Chris was completely jacked. As soon as Chris dominated the rings by not even using the footholds (the first player to do so) I pretty much knew it was game over.
I'm loving this series. Also love that joez had the idea for your draft spot to be determined by the place you took in previous episode and was shot down, so joezach wins season 1 and they immediately go to that format

1 point for every round individual win while player is under your control (4 pts handed out per episode) 2 pts for an individual player Agrocrag win.
Love this! Makes remembering what events are coming up and how kids may do in them more worth trading if you just need some points.
22:53 "He sends him on his f**king way!!" 🤣🤣🤣
That made me laugh so hard I actually rewound it twice to rewatch it.
My day immediately gets better as soon as I hear “do da do duh do ya have it?”
yes dear was my fav show back in the day
My wife and I play along with our own draft. Could you try to avoid spoilers in the title, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Best series on TH-cam
Joez gave into peer pressure. But wild that you trade away guaranteed Mickey Mantle for IKF and then for the chance at Alfonso Soriano, keep in mind, the CHANCE at that. I mean.... wtf.
So glad y'all immediately started season two. When's Global Guts getting cracked open?
Just wish they would talk about the Guts spotters dancing at the beginning.
Red has “On to Cincinnati” vibes
I can’t wait to see JoeZack defend their season 1 championship trophy
Can't wait to see how they'll get mind f*kd out of it😂
I wish TH-cam had a ❤ button for you, kushy fellas.
Forget GeoGuesser. This is a Guts channel now.
I can't believe JoeZack gave up this stud. I feel like this will be like trading the Babe to the Yankees
An all-time blunder
Love the intense trade talks this episode! What a start to season 2
GM Jake with the trade of a lifetime. Season 2 off to a great start for our captain
Jake is incredibly great at pausing at the start so all 3 contestants are a simple click from each other
Making trades for 1/4 of the season on game one is a disaster of an idea. What’s gonna be left to trade in the future? There needs to be other things added to the mix to make trades more interesting. Picks don’t matter if you’re down 4-0 points.
Ill be honest i have regrets something in my soul was telling me to never let go of him… its a learning lesson
“My guy is 27” HAS ME ROLLLLLIN
Hindsight is 20/20, but in the moment I liked the trade. Process was solid, you're choosing between:
-A surefire 4 points, but nothing else
-Likely 2 points, plus two future pick swaps to increase your odds of getting 2 or 4 points on the future
So the potential payoff of the trade nets you a max of 10, points instead of just 4. It was just too much upside value to pass up imo
Where it really went wrong is that purple just collapsed down the stretch, but that woulda been hard to see coming
I need you guys to pay attention to the 2 helpers at the top of the volleyball event helping blue and red because they would hit a jump 5 every time and it’s hilarious
A million balls coming at me at once is one hell of a quote
Worst trade in week 1 ever! Take the 4 points and be happy. All aboard the Jake-train in season 2.
Purple looked like Prince Fielder at the Home Run Derby
For next season a perfect run should be worth 6 points. Give the lock 1st places something to sweat
Haven’t slept since Monday. Worth it for early morning GUTS. ❤
Never trade a guaranteed win. Come on. I’m pulling for you two. Let’s go!
Trading away a guaranteed 1st place to start the season?? Make it make sense
Bad day to be a Joezack fan
I can't decide if the guys are genuinely that inept at math and logic or if it's just a ruse, but I can't stop laughing at it either! And I'm not even a Kushy Dreams user.
Joez has never heard the phrase "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."
Sure, at the time Chris' revolutionary bunting style seemed to be the way to win the baseball event. But modern analytics would argue that Stacey's approach of being more selective and taking pitches with no bunting is the better play in the long run
Joez is so sad at the end lol. Buyers remorse
is no one talking about this PERFECT score?!
Also love that joez had the idea for your draft spot to be determined by the place you took in previous episode and was shot down, so joezach wins season 1 and they immediately go to that format
joez wanted it the other way though. so first place got first pick in the next episode.
No he didn't. He wanted it this way. Go back and watch the ball meeting
@@tysonstone1960just went back and watched. at the thirty second mark Joez proposes that whoever finishes first in the previous episode gets first pick in the next one.
I started laughing out loud immediately when I saw the rings. I was so happy for Jake's sanity when she made it across.
that kid was a BEAST! yall def need to have him come to the warehouse as a guest appearance if he's down!!!
Let’s goooooooo. New season baby!
Watchin' Playing' Guts is always an immediate view from me.
This kid is a demon i wish we could have a lil dynamite matchup- i would LOVE if you guys did a 30for30 style documentary about these champions of our childhood
The only way that trade negotiation starts from Joezack is "you want this kid we get to swap with you anytime we want for the rest of the season"
I know it’s more work but it would be cool to put player bios up front to draft players.
