well that's fair. If you are in prince difficulty you should be way ahead. The thing with deity is exactly that they get way more resources early on so it's not unusual to be losing so hard early on, but since the AI plans poorly and scales poorly you end up winning kek

Deity is great for a committed challenge, bad for casual playing. Why the hell would I play against any number of AI that instantly have 3 cities and have better yields than me? I wouldn't play against a human player with those advantages, so why should I play against a cheating AI?
@@Lurker_Z The reason it isn’t worrying when ai has quadruple your yields is because it has literally no idea how to use them. Since civ is way too complicated a game to make smart ai, higher difficulties instead give them hilarious bonuses

I'm trying to understand why India never attacked you. Even when I start with a few military units, I can always depend on a nearby civ attacking me in the early game.
Actually, if a scout has explored all it can, why not place it on the best city spots, forcing other players to be aggressors or choose less optimal spots. Maybe it actually IS a thing the AI does?
Couldn't be a potato Video if the AI wouldn't suprise us with something stupid and unexpected. Why ever Mali thought that war at that particular point in time would make sense

Potato’s civ overexplained series is great to understand the intricacies of the game. It does have complex mechanics and the series does a good job taking you through a lot of them, from where to settle to what to research at what time and where to build your districts. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking to get better at the game.

I will never play on Deity, because I don't care about victory conditions. I just want to build things and make the units run around. I'd be happier if the AI wasn't there and I could just make things look nice. I don't want to cut down forests, I think they look nice.
BUY then sell diplo. You can usually buy 20 for 1 or 2 gold then turn around and sell it for much more. You can even end up with a net positive in profit and diplo favor if you keep it up every few turns. Only a few civs usually try to charge you an arm and a leg for their diplo favor.
Outside of that being SUPER exploitative, he's quite a few turns from that being viable! When the world congress starts the AI values Diplo favor WAY more.
@@JacksonOwex not really, it happens for several eras where most civs charge 2 gold for 20 while others want to charge X gold and X per turn.
