Student project (part time project, 3 hours per week in class). Developped from August 2016 to November 2016, at TEC de Monterrey, campus Guadalajara, Mexico.
Unreal Engine & Substance.

Jet Force Gemini was a diamond in the rough but it was a gem of a game nevertheless when it came out. Would love to see a remake or even a sequel someday.

Nice, I tried doing this in cryengine before ue4 was out but wasn't skilled enough at the time, maybe I should give it a shot in unreal now that I'm fully qualified :D

This was one of the first ever games I got to play and it was me and my dads favourite game to sit and have fun on, I remember we got up to the two Mantis Bosses as the dog and never got passed it for ages even when we tried to 2P option we would get smoked haha 😂 (I think) I would love to play this game again and I’m this new modernised standard ❤
Technology never ceases to amaze me
When i was little i found this game. Never had i -payed anything outside mainstream Nintendo stuff Pokémon Mario etc. then i played this and i was hooked. I finished the first half and unfortunately my copy of this game was stolen. To this day i never finished this game and i really wish they remaster it one day.
What I wouldn't give for this for real. This is one of the most under-appreciated games of all time to me.
I was watching a documentary about anta and it reminded me of my childhood favorite and here I am. Give me the logistics!!!!
Amazing work for a group of students with limited time. Each and everyone of them will be snapped up quickly by having this on their portfolio's. TEC de Monterrey must be a great place for creative people to study!
I totally love the whole visual update, you guys understand the concept and execute it exquisitely, however, don't just copy what's been made, bring to life the game with your own signature ideas, to expand on the original concept.

This deserves a remake with an added endless wave mode and boss battle mode with all modes allowing co-op including the actual story after you beat it.

Such fond memories of this game and its music. The only issue it had was a tendency for the framerate to drop significantly during heavy combat, which you've more than fixed!

Just finding this video after starting another play through on the Rare Replay version for Xbox One. Nostalgia all the way. This is really great to see.
Finish the game and release it on the net. Even as a tech demo if not a full version, would be pretty cool. Or if its gotta be short. Hell rename it Jetforce Gemini 2, and make a branching storyline / new space /planet adventure. Looks amazing dude! Would be psyched to play it!
Well time to do another yearly JFG run. This game deserves more attention and a remake and sequel.
Rare has several great franchises they could capitalize on that fans would love and they're like "screw you, have Sea of Fail!"
I miss this game. I always wish there was a mod to get the different colour bullets like the ants had.
A really good classic n64 game, played it a lot growing up and thus remake looks absolutely superb. Love the way it looks in every way. 10/10

Holy shit man my brother and I would play this game when we were growing up. This game was by far one of the best shooting games for n64 console. I really hope someone revamps this game.

I would love to see Rare remaster their N64 collection with modern visuals like these... Goldeneye and DK are out of the question but Banjo Kazooie, Jet force Gemini, Conker and Perfect dark are all within reason.
Oh my god! This was my favorite game growing up. Probably the hardest N64 game I've ever played. Please make this a reality. Maybe reach out to Rare? This would be so amazing

Huh... watching this I just realized that Jet Force Gemini is probably what spiraled me into my love of Phantasy Star Online, Universe, Online 2 and now NGS... for better or worse. Sci fi anime-equse alien murder hobo's are my jam.

Super cool, but the lighting is a little weird. Really dark in a lot of places. Most of it was great.

It was during the recording of the cinematic... If you check the in-game screenshots on the blog, you will see that the lighting is less dark ;)

I would give the lighting a more blueish tone and some fog but only a bit for the tropical feeling that it fits more to the jungle atmosphere. But I like the style of all models, you nailed it! Really great looking stuff here :)
