Tail: Ginger Lifeflex or Spanflex
Body: Hareline Light Cahill Dubbing
Rib: Brassie or Small Copper Wire
Legs: Ginger Lifeflex or Spanflex
Casing: Tan or Ginger Goose or Turkey Biots

great fly but what size hook and tungsten bead do you use
Looks quite a lot like Kevin’s stonefly from Kevin Howell at Davidson River Outfitters in NC to me. He uses turkey tail for the shell and case instead of biots peacock herl for the abdomen, chenille and hackle for the thorax and rubber legs instead of flex, but the concept and shape is essentially the same, and it really works well, black or gold.
Nice looking and easy to tie , Should work good on the Madison . Will tie some up and see what happens:-)
