It is so immensely delighting to see the Assamese Debodashi Dance being revived. Its a part of our great Indian heritage. I sincerely request the respectable Gurus of Assamese Debodashi Dance to further develop this dance style. It looks limited & short for now, all the performances I had seen so far are just in the same format. Can we not add more steps deriving them from the dance sculptures of local temples (like Odissi & Gaudiya Nritya done for themselves) or taking details from Assamese dance treatises or getting inspiration from Sattriya & Bihu or Assamese temple rituals? There's a lot can be done to further enrich this dance! Also can we not make single item storytelling Nritya performances interspersed with pure dancing (Nritta) in between them (like Varnam in Bharatanatyam)? It would be exciting to see that kind of performances of this dance form. We need to expand & diversify its repertoire! Thanks a lot for sharing it.
