    From timber purchase, to adjustable feet, to tables joined, to body weight stability test! Us mere mortals need look no further for advice, tips and sheer inspiration! Everard you are a true Jack of all trades, master of many! ☮️💕🏁

    When you ripped out the old layout I cried, but I can see you enjoying the building process as much as you enjoy running the trains. I have enjoyed watching you glue, screw, and weld. It is nice to see someone using a normal screwdriver for a change rather than an electric one. Looking forward to following the new layout as it gets built up. Thank you for sharing the process with us.

    Glad to have you back Everard Junction! You have certainly put a lot of thought into the construction of the new baseboards and to making the loft more habitable. Look forward to seeing the new layout take shape and grow over the coming months and years!

    It is an odd but very nice thing that i enjoy watching someone just building basically wooden tables. I would not watch if it was just that but it is the anticipation of what comes next. Scenery and TRAINS!!

      Bit of a way to go before the trains. They're on their way, just a bit delayed.

    Now that model railroad season has returned, it’s great to see you starting the new layout Richard. I am just finishing full renovations in my basement for my new layout and your new layout is giving me the inspiration and initiative I need to get going. Looking forward to your progress (and mine) over the winter 😊

    Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Really happy your back mate. As I've said before,I don't have or want a model railway,I just enjoy watching and following the progress of your layout!! And you prove that this country is still the best at producing the best engineer's in the world!!!

      raskazone I have a job you fucking moron hence why I don't have the time to build one. I don't have the disposable income to be spending hundreds on everything that goes into a layout. Loco's, rolling stock, track, buildings etc. It all adds up. I don't have the space in my house to put a toy train set down. Attic and garage is for storage. Fuck off

    Hello Richard, its so nice to see your return once again after so long . I can relate to lining out inner parts of roof, agree its very time consuming indeed.Rerunning new gable runs,light fixings etc.It is a thankful task but well worth it in the end and a peace of mind .This is a area that isn't very interesting i know but so worth after all awkward cuts are made,between the roof joists,secured,plus the loft still can breath so to speak.n the winter and summer months.Such a much more pleasant place to work,continue,the construction towards one's new layout,towards your existng layout.That you had mentioned in past to improve on.adjustments etc

  • @trainmanbob
    @trainmanbob 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    The construction of good baseboards is important and you have certainly done a very good job on yours. Adjustable feet are so important...you would be surprised the difference in floor heights when I take my exhibition layout out, and that's just four 7ft boards!! I look forward to what follows. Cheers, Bob

    I'd been struggling with baseboard ideas for a while. Wish I had your woodworking skills. At school all I did was convert a piece of tree into sawdust. Thanks for all the great advice on the whole hobby. One of the problems I have is how to protect the wiring underneath and scenes above from pesky curious cats.

    Great to see you back! I found your channel when your were building the yard addition with the carriage shed, so I'm really looking forward to watching the creation of the new layout from start to finish.

      Hi, I just saw some of your videos...I have subb'd. Aren't comments sections a great place to find new channels to watch?! lol. Cheers. Dave, Dean Park Station.

    I happened upon your channel today. It caught my interest because I like to see how others do their builds. The pre thought explained on every step shows up in success. I subbed and clicked the bell so I don't miss the updates as you build your new layout. Excellent video, workmanship and design. Tom
