- I played Super Mario Odyssey's Online Multiplayer with @Fir @CraftyBoss925 and @Mars2030YT . It was the funniest game of Hide and Seek ever.

I'm always surprised by Smant's and Fir's nonverbal communication.
They come up with the same dumb stuff and I love it.
They also manage to call out each others spot quite often without knowing it. Like Smant calling out that Fir is at the top of the chapel.

So to summarize:
* Smant pulls off a ridiculous jump
* Mars finds him within the first 10 seconds
* Smant pulls off a ridiculous escape undetected by waiting until Mars died to the boss
* Smant tricks Mars into hunting someone else so he can pull off another ridiculous jump to the top of moon cave
* Fir disguises as Mars
* Smant randomly guesses exactly where Fir is hiding during the first hints
* Crafty sees the real Mars but somehow thinks it's Fir in disguise
* Thanks to a perfectly timed gathering with Mars, Crafty is gaslit into believing Fir isn't disguised
* Mars spots Smant and starts attempting the jump up, while Smant tries to escape
* Crafty finally spots Fir and learned of his disguise, but Fir gets away and disguises as Smant instead
* Smant accidentally enters the boss fight, and finishes it all while Mars is staring at a wall trying the jump
* Crafty chases Fir through moon cave, thinking it's Smant
* Fir hides in moon cave, and Smant tells them he's in the overworld, causing Mars to stop chasing Fir
* Then begins several minutes of Smant and Fir cooperatively gaslighting the chasers as Fir runs away
* The only time the chasers ask for a hint during this sequence, Smant and Fir happen to be in the exact same quadrant, so they can keep gaslighting
That was the wackiest series of coincidences and lucky breaks I've ever seen in this game.

Gaslighting Crafty, always a classic
Ant's spot getting found within 10 seconds of the match starting was really funny
And then not getting caught for another hour that was so funny
he'd been hyping it up for the previous few kingdoms too, it was even funnier
And then proceeding to survive an entire hour and help Fir drive crafty insane

Smant was a star too, knowing how he commentated over Mars and Crafty chasing Fir, and he fought Madame Broode while Mars was right ahead of him.
I always love in Hide & Seek, how Smant & Fir always feel like they each have a gun constantly pointed at the other person's head, but choose not to pull the trigger, solely because they both enjoy what the other person does.
That gave me the image of two guys holding each other at gunpoint while having a dance off.

I'm new to this SMO Hide and Seek universe and Fir has become my favorite over the videos I've watched so far, but seeing his absolutely savage joy at 9:57 sealed the deal

Man, this one was SO good. The quality of all of the hiding spots, the immense technical skill of the hiders was already apparent from the get-go but all of the moments in this one were insane.
- Mars finding Ant's first spot IMMEDIATELY, despite it being an incredibly well-hidden spot with an extremely difficult set-up
- Ant getting stuck in the Madame Broode fight and somehow not getting caught, despite Mars being right behind Ant throughout the whole fight.
- Fir disguising himself with Mars' and Ant's costumes and proceeding to gaslight Crafty into thinking he was not him
- Ant playing off of Fir's subterfuge by acting as if he "was" in Fir's position, including the perfect alignment of both Fir and Ant's position and the timing of the hint
It may have just been among four players but the quality and memorability of this match ranks among some of the best Odyssey content, dare I say, ever
Smant's first spot wasn't actually that good, because he was constantly wall jumping. It made it really easy to know someone was there as long as you were listening.
@@TheFinalChapters you have to get to that person to catch them, however. So while it isn't too great a hiding spot, it's a great hide-and-seek spot
@@lemon3389 Eh, it doesn't take that long to get to compared to a lot of other spots, for example on top of the 2D moon subarea. The strongest argument for it is the difficulty the seekers would have getting there, but if they hadn't misplayed it, it would just be a matter of time and Smant would not be able to escape.
It would make much more sense to hide there later on in the round, after the others have been found and caught. Until then, you're just drawing attention from everyone else and probably getting caught first.
So the balance of hide and seek matches balance themselves because 80%of the time Fir and Smant are natural counters to each other. This is what happens when that is not the case at all.

I loved the doopliss theme at 11:00. It was almost amazing that you played it during the chase since the boss's theme is he takes other peoples' appearances as his own and mimics them.

Mars got her revenge in that EVIL sand kingdom round. I’ve eaten my words before, but I don’t think anything will be MORE evil than that spot she used to get the revenge.
(Sadly no video was made of that round, but I don’t blame them. They were all miserable hunting her that day.)

@@jakefromstatefarm6969 no. Based on when they talk about it, they all agreed to not use that round for a video by my guess.
Mars did a trick jump to get to the moon that sinks in the poison in sand kingdom that prevents the course from collapsing. No one could find Mars for an hour plus, and when they did, Mars forced them to try the trick jump for another hour to get to the spot, til Fir just decided to use the flight part of the mod (I think it’s called no clip.) because it was getting too ridiculous.
It made everyone miserable but Mars so I assume that’s why you won’t see it. But that’s what occurred as a plot synopsis.
Crafty just being so confused the whole time made me laugh so hard, god and the part where Smant commentated while Fir was being chased. God I haven’t laughed like that in a while, Mars just being so done with all of this too
I had a great time with this stream just watching from Smant's perspective
But this fully edited version with everyone's perspectives in key moments was 10x as good
