Cygnet 20 sailing to victory in strong wind!

Onboard the Bluewater Cruising Yachts Cygnet 20 trailer sailer for a technical race victory in Lake Macquarie. With winds sometimes over 30kts forcing the rest of the trailer sailer fleet to retire, the little Cygnet forged ahead to claim the win!

Just bought myself perhaps the last King Shark 20ft in England, if i sail it a third as well as you guys did this 20ft I'll be enjoying a brave few pints and telling stories till i fall over. Loved it guys.

That is some serious sailing. How do you know how far you can push it? That was leaning so far over that the gunwales were under water! If i had my Haines Hunter over that far i would be more than slightly worried haha.

It is scary the first couple of times! But we know the theoretical limits of the boat and have total faith in the design and build. We would say that though because we designed and built it!
Peter Lowe and Will Hardcastle did all the design and stability calculations etc. Will was skipper on this day so I was confident he wouldn't capsize us!
