I suspected he was using this since the hands look like an animated model and they appear to cut off on certain notes. But I could be wrong, and he claims he isn't using it. So it is what it is. Just making an observation.
Just subscribed, as a pianist. These songs are what makes you actually FEEL the music. When you play, you can just feel the tune. Wether its sad or happy. Nostalgic or romantic. Thats what I love most about music.

This is a gorgeous version of the song. Have been looking for a “tough” song (one that will take over a month playing daily) to learn and I think this is my winner.
During the 1min-1:30 min part I may add longer runs in the left hand to balance it out and make learning it a little easier but other than that this is my favorite version of the song!

Wow! I can't believe I missed this when it first premiered... like 1.5 years ago. That was intense, my hands hurt a little looking at the octaves. Nice job!
Honestly, with the 2 climaxes, take your time to learn it, especially the left hand, to a point where you don't even have to think about it anymore. Next thing with that part is that you gotta either look at your right or left hand (or both but you'll have to decide when to look at each). That means that you'll need to be able to play some parts without vision. So, practice those parts without looking, purely off of your sense of touch. Also, try and emphasize on the main chords of the right hand (the main melody) with the sustain pedal. Basically, before hitting every chord, remove the sustain to cut out the old sounds and only keep the sounds of the new chord (and the fast paced second melody). Last thing, right hand should be a bit louder than the left. Although, play it and feel the song however you like. I just wanted to give you tips. Enjoy your practice!
