I ended up in a mental hospital in 8th grade because of how badly I was bullied so I feel for that girl. Looking back on it, it was ruthless - an entire group of girls pretended to be my friend as a joke - without going into too much detail they got me to tell them some dark stuff about my home life and then told the entire school. I cannot believe they bullied the poor girl into tears when she said she watched tv in her free time. Like they don't realize how draining being an adult is and how you literally don't have any energy to spend on your hobbies after work.
They way middle schoolers talk is so triggering. Like, they ooze with insecurity and hate because of all the hormones and trying to learn how to socialize.
But honestly, them thinking that dad was amazing was so cute. Like, it really shows their age. How impressed they were with the worst joke ever is such a kid thing. Amazing.
i'm literally 21 and its sick that *i know* i'd cry if a middle schooler told me i wasn't cool
i’m 24 and yeah, i would for sure tear up 😭
as a 21-year-old, you should not value the opinion of a middle schooler.
Why
@@jmodsbricksto be fair i'd cry if anyone told me they didn't like me / i wasn't cool 😭
middle schoolers are so uncool, their opinion shouldn’t matter to you
I ended up in a mental hospital in 8th grade because of how badly I was bullied so I feel for that girl. Looking back on it, it was ruthless - an entire group of girls pretended to be my friend as a joke - without going into too much detail they got me to tell them some dark stuff about my home life and then told the entire school. It was pretty similar to the psychological experiments they ran on Ted Kaczynski when he was in college 😅 I had to go to a different high school because of it.
I’m so sorry that happened to you
Oh my god. So sorry you got yourself in the same school as these little psychopaths. Hope you're doing well, idk you but you're amazing
@@priscillaali5813 thank you so much, it means a lot 🥹 I’m doing great - I found amazing friends in high school, I’ll be in one of their weddings in a few months. I had a great experience in college and have been fortunate enough to travel a lot and meet many kind people (some assholes too of course lol)
Watching this made me realize - the criticisms of middle schoolers are so ridiculous. Like saying books are stupid is laughable as an adult. But it’s the cutthroat social hierarchy that seems to be uniquely horrible in that age group. It’s ‘eat or be eaten’ so a lot of kids are mean to avoid being the target. I’m sure there’s a developmental psych explanation for it because almost everyone I know had a horrible time in middle school 😅
it's insane how someone can have so much malice in their heart. hope you're okay now
That’s so disgusting and horrible of them. I hope they get their karma and I hope you can heal and have a beautiful
life 🩷
Adults should never let their fun, young, and adventurous side die. More adults should be like Cody, you can still catch a glimpse of a frat boy in him.
That’s him making fun of frat boys because he wishes he was still one. 😂
I don't think I agree. Why are we as a society idealizing immaturity? Is there not a graceful way to age?
Frat boy is nothing to hold onto tf lmao. It's a cringey personality.
@@SFsuperforte because being staunch all the time is boring. They -didn't say "be a kid all the time" Staying young at heart, active and fun seeking new experiences will bring great quality of life.

this is such a deranged response to kids being overly confident because life hasn't broken them yet. It's so weird to gleefully await a child getting crushed by the weight of it all
@@mischr13literally this
@@mischr13 overly confident? No they aren't, what's happening here is their inflated egos because they're on a youtube show. They are being mean, which they think makes them cool and edgy.
@@mischr13 I'm more envious of them still being so care free
I work with middle schoolers and I LOVE them. Their high energy and enthusiasm are so endearing. That being said, all you have to do is be willing to be a little silly (like how excited the middle schoolers kept getting when ppl would dance impulsively) and let the harsh judgements slide off of you- most of the time they’re just talking without a filter and not realizing the implications, they’re not trying to be that mean. (At least most of them aren’t lol)
i can’t believe they think reading isn’t cool, like for what lmao. also why’d they decimate that one girl for liking watching tv in her free time 😭 it’s not sad it’s just chill
I think in their mind alone=sad, when honestly if you need to rely on others all the time to have fun that's what's really sad
i doubt any of them even possess the attention span to read a single chapter of a book
At that age I didn't like reading either.. not until around high school/graduation. These kids will cringe when they watch this in 10 years LOL
@@RedPillRockChick lol yeah they will. like it’s fine to not like reading but i think it’s weird that the kid in the middle thinks reading makes you uncool
@@jacobmillen751because their middle schoolers😭 and yea being alone does link to being lonely which is linked to sadness
love how being cool is all you want in life when ur a teen but once your an adult u dont want to be preceived
Yeah, but that's only cause as an adult trying to be cool is extremely uncool, which kinda means that you're still trying to be cool
Then why did the adults come to this show if they dont care about being cool

Here comes our simp
imagine middle schoolers, who literally date for two weeks at a time, evaluating an adults dating situation
that made me so sad for her
fr and the "no netflix and chill"? like ok bud at least I don't have to plan to hug someone after PE class
also considering how lonely being single can be as you get older, i’d literally bawl my eyes out too 😭
i don’t think they cared that much ab the fact that she was single just the fact that they asked what she does for fun and she says she eats and watches tv like😭😭
her life is sad . they were being honest
these kids are going to grow up and then understand how sad it is to be an adult. like watching tv IS one of the only fun things to do because you can escape from reality. 😭
Same with reading!
i am a middle schooler myself in 8th grade and it annoys me so much that kids my age just spend their life away behind a screen, moving their fingers. i love to read and go outside and skate and go to vintage arcades. but now all children my age dont even enjoy going outside, they are missing out on so many things and it makes me mad
This video made me realize that I would not care at all what a group of middle schoolers would say about me and ngl I feel pretty good about that.
Middle schoolers constantly feel self conscious and feel like they gotta be cool or people will hate them. I think a lot of adults were reminded of that scary time.
People do hate them …
They need to do this again in 15 years and bring those kids back to get roasted by the next generation

@@Silly1336 damn thats true, I was thinking of 15 and up I think so I was baffled why they hated books, but yeah 12-14 were the monster years. My friends were all pretty calm & nerdy but we never got picked on for it. Though we had a "talk shit get hit" thing... maybe when people fear repercussion they run their mouth less??
They usually do
I mean if she was secure she wouldn't have cried. They just hit close to home, she wants to do more but they really reminded her she hasn't.
@camtwan1 people can enjoy their personal life while also being aware of the pressure/judgment of other people & their culture. Plus blasting it out to the whole internet is another layer of pressure to "be interesting enough"
Some of y'all forgot that middle schoolers are still maturing. Anything they say right now, they will most Definitely cringe and regret. Give em time to mature and don't cry over the judgement of a 13 year old.

I’ve been a youth group leader and mentor for the last decade and let me tell you, kids are RUTHLESS. I leave our events being roasted to a crisp every single time. I went to see one of my students in a musical and my students roasted me for printing out tickets instead of using my phone because I’m old. I laughed through the pain. It still hurts.
Kids making fun of someone for staying home and relaxing in bed makes me laugh. Soon will they realize it’s so amazing
i’m literally a parent and i STILL know that i would have a hard time not DESTROYING these kids.
i’m a middle school counselor and honestly they’ve made me cry a few times, i’m scared of them lol

It’s sad how many kids at that age lack any sort of empathy for anyone
the thing that makes childrens insults so much stronger is that you know when someone like Simon Cowell is being mean, he's doing it for the camera and the audience.
but when a kid says, "Damn that's sad" you know they are being 100% genuine.
