I’d love to see an everything went perfect for Denmark or Sweden. Both had maximum territorial extents that were unrealistic to hold onto in the long run, so it would be interesting to see how you would keep the empires or get the best deal out of losing them.

Like not just how GDP and population would be shifted around, what would happen to the world if this were to actually, literally happen.

Do 1914 again, but instead talk about what would happen immediately after this drastic reallocation of land occurs. Assume that each country holds their modern governments, and that the people/economy remains in place. For example, would Putin consider giving up his vast, new empire in the eventuality of wide spread seperatism? Would Hong Kong be returned to communist China, now that the UK holds the territory again? What happens to Korea? Would any European country (other than Russia) actually hold on to their new/old empires? Maybe France could use this opportunity to reassert their influence in Africa?
My basic question is, how many of these old borders can actually survive the modern times?
