I was watching a TV show last night called Alaska: The Last Frontier. It's a show about "homesteaders" who live in Alaska. On this episode, one of the homesteaders named Eivin built his kids a treehouse with a slide. The little 3 or 4 year old boy, Findlay, was so excited he said, "I always wanted a slide to come to our house!" I thought it was so cute but then when I heard you teach that the Kingdom of Heaven has come here, a chill went up my spine. It's the same idea. Our Loving Father wants us to enjoy the fruits of HIS labor, HIS creation. His little sister, however, was afraid of the slide and wouldn't go down it even when her dad bribed her with candy. She wanted to go down the slide in her dad's arms. Eivin finally crawled halfway up the slide and that was enough to convince her to trust him that the slide was safe and fun and then she experienced the joy that her father wanted her to experience.

I've been a believer / follower of Jesus for 40 years now and the dynamic of how God speaks to me in what I called "personalized parables" is more real now than ever. God will intentionally raise the bar in the ways and methods of how He speaks to us to stretch our faith and effect more growth in our lives. We never ever outgrow the need for humility and hungering after God as these are the keys to "having ears to hear" and understand the parable He is speaking through.

@@mitchellc4 yes, the human body God took on died, it's not an issue. Jesus forgave sins and is Lord over the Sabbath. Only God can forgive sins, it's a no brainer. Jesus also received worship, He's God. "My Lord and my God" -Thomas

That was definitely for me. Satan has held that verse over my head for so long as a constant threat that I will never make it as a believer, that I would never get it together. Opening thesis that Jesus told parables to be understandable is in direct opposition to the context of Isaiah 6 “keep on listening but do not hear, keep on seeing but do not perceive” In the gospels this is always the explanation given by the gospel writer “this was to fulfill the words of the prophet” The parables were a condemnation of Israel for not loving the lord their god with all their heart, soul, mind and strength

If heaven is invading earth then if God's kingdom is here then why is there still so much of pain and disease and decay in this world . These things seem to increase w each generation. It's so painful .
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied" Jesus is basically saying that he's fully aware of how bad the world and its values are, so this should give you more hope my friend ❤ Jesus promises that you will be satisfied when He comes again, so this should give you hope and motivation to strive to make an impact, no matter how tiny, to try and bring a good change in any way you can. So true, people hear what they want to hear. The Bible stated God made Heaven and Earth. The Son of God in human form and sinless (Jesus) announced Heaven is invading Earth. But evil would not accept Him, so He was killed on a sinners cross. But to the surprise of many, He rose from the dead, according witnesses and to Scripture. Evil still wants us, but through faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, our eternal home is Heaven. Thank you Jesus
There's no word for "Brain" in the bible (as Tim said). So what's the Hebrew word for "Mind"? The word Mind is found 163 times in the NIV. (84 times in the old testament) Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your "Mind" and with all your strength.’
The Hebrew word “lev” is translated as heart and mind and inner man, etc. it was a holistic concept of who you are on the inside of you, in Jewish understanding. That’s what Tim’s referring to. Jesus interestingly adds mind to the traditional shema prayer from Deuteronomy 6:4. My uneducated theory is maybe he wanted to help the Greeks who my have heard him speak, understand what he was saying, because they, like us, differentiate between the heart and the mind, whereas the Jews did not. Just my humble guess.

Jesus, school master, is focused on our inner spirtual condition. LUKE 10: 25/37, Good Samaritan. What can we learn about this?. The jews and samaritan had animosity towards each other. Social barriers exist today, ignorant and educated and poor and rich. Man left Jerusalem to go to Jericho. The man was robbed and beaten by robbers and left for dead. A levite passed by and ignored the man. Then a priest came by and did the same. But a samaritan stopped, and helped him. The samaritan could have walked off, did as the world standard does, since the jews scorn the samaritans. Predjuce and hatred, social barriers, wont exist when Jesus returns 7th trump. People will conform to God's standard or go into lake of fire with satan. The priests and levites were ceremonialists, and hearers of the word. Jesus is teaching their forms of worship is a sham. Failing to respond to human or animal suffering. The righteousness deed of the samaritan is placed higher than of the HYPOCRITE religious leaders. Every citizen in kingdom of God will have the law of love, pride and arrogance is done with. On judgement day, all hateful deception will be gone. Its either the law of love or pride. Which will exist in kingdom of God ??.

A lady on TH-cam is claimimg your work is lies from satan, EVEN AT THE POSSIBLITY OF THAT MAKES MY STOMACH TURN PLEASE PLEASE SAY IT ISNT SO but i listened and I can understand why she thinks that especially from the part where you don't say hell is a place for punishment, you say some other wishywashy interpretation that is usually said when people fear loosing their fan base if thats the case please repent publicly and explain this confusion to us dear brother. If it had been me caught up in this and I had a clear conscience before God i would make up a video addressing every claim made against me to clear my name 1000%. even if i wasnt blameless I would still make a comment humbly addressing my error and leading by example in a lifestyle of letting the holy spirit correct our path. I think I know the video you are talking about. The ONE, single video that is out there critical of Mackie. It sounds like it's some Irish teenage girl, if I'm thinking of the right one. Yes, there is a lot wrong with Mackie's theology. But a heretic? I don't think I'd go that far. The main disagreement that I have is that in all of Mackie's teaching, it never becomes PERSONAL. Sin has consequences..... (long pause)..... for God's creation. We sin, and it's messing up this wonderful world that God created, and God is now working to restore it all back to the wonderful thing he made in the beginning so that we can be happy again. And our sin keeps messing up that plan, so Jesus died to take on himself all the consequences of our sin. Not our sin *itself* , but the *consequences* of that sin. And that is a BIG difference. The message of the bible, repeated by Jesus himself is, sure, "The kingdom is at hand". But, as he also put it to the Pharisees, "Who has warned you to flee the *wrath* that is coming?" Mackie's message is devoid of the real message in the bible about sin - namely that sin incurs the *wrath* of God, and he's not going to take it out on "the kingdom of man", he is going to take it out on *YOU personally* if you do not repent and believe the Gospel. Jesus' death on the cross - the Atonement - doesn't just "absorb the consequences of sin", it also turns away the wrath of God from the sinner. For the hundreds, thousands of years that the church has been using the term "saved", few ever stop to wonder "saved from what?" "Saved" means to be saved from the wrath of God, and Jesus' primary message to man is to flee to the cross - trust Jesus - to be saved from that wrath. His message presents the Kingdom of Man, and the Kingdom of God, and the slow, steady collision of the two that starts out small, but will eventually spread through all of the Kingdom of Man and transform it. It's a modern day version of a theology that we used to call "Kingdom Now" theology - and you can probably google that and find all you need to know about that. I do not know why Mackie doesn't seem to want to tell you about the wrath of God, and God's plan to spare you from it, and instead concentrate on creation, instead of mankind itself. I think he is "empire building" and wanting to attract a lot of followers, and a positive, encouraging message will be more successful. If numbers is your game, then you preach what will attract a lot of people. His lack of focus and lack of warning sinners to "flee the wrath to come" leaves them with a sense of complacency. There is no *urgency* about Jesus' imminent return, at which time those who are not believers are taken away to eternal punishment. This isn't my word. This is the word of Jesus Himself. *_"Depart from me, you accursed ones... And these shall go away into everlasting punishment"._* THAT is what is missing from Mackie's sermons. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't believe in Hell. So, yes, you should be a little concerned. But I do not think that simply listening to his sermon is going to get you banished to the lake of fire. There are encouraging aspects of his message, and a lot of it is quite correct. But you should be a bit discerning while listening, and make sure you read ALL of the scripture he presents, not just the BITS that he presents.
@@robertzeurunkl8401 This is why I think Tim is a teacher and not a preacher. A preacher calls people to repentance, and corrects and reproves. But, a teacher leads and guides believers into a fuller understanding on how to live as a believer. A teacher and a preacher is not the same. Although one could have BOTH gifts, I think Tim has a gift to teach, but not preach.
Really? So are the parables only meant to be read by Jewish people? Then if the "plain messages" in the New Testament are so clearly meant for his disciples, why aren't those words recorded on Him saying "this is only for you my disciples." The burden of proof is on you to prove what you say. Don't just make a statement like you made without any evidence to support it.

For a part of my life, I was a seed in the weeds. Thankfully, those weeds didnt choke me; they ended up making me stronger. God is awesome!
I've been a believer / follower of Jesus for 40 years now and the dynamic of how God speaks to me in what I called "personalized parables" is more real now than ever. God will intentionally raise the bar in the ways and methods of how He speaks to us to stretch our faith and effect more growth in our lives. We never ever outgrow the need for humility and hungering after God as these are the keys to "having ears to hear" and understand the parable He is speaking through.

So true, people hear what they want to hear. The Bible stated God made Heaven and Earth. The Son of God in human form and sinless (Jesus) announced Heaven is invading Earth. But evil would not accept Him, so He was killed on a sinners cross. But to the surprise of many, He rose from the dead, according witnesses and to Scripture. Evil still wants us, but through faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, our eternal home is Heaven. Thank you Jesus

The Hebrew word “lev” is translated as heart and mind and inner man, etc. it was a holistic concept of who you are on the inside of you, in Jewish understanding. That’s what Tim’s referring to.
Jesus interestingly adds mind to the traditional shema prayer from Deuteronomy 6:4. My uneducated theory is maybe he wanted to help the Greeks who my have heard him speak, understand what he was saying, because they, like us, differentiate between the heart and the mind, whereas the Jews did not. Just my humble guess.

Jesus, school master, is focused on our inner spirtual condition. LUKE 10: 25/37, Good Samaritan. What can we learn about this?. The jews and samaritan had animosity towards each other. Social barriers exist today, ignorant and educated and poor and rich. Man left Jerusalem to go to Jericho. The man was robbed and beaten by robbers and left for dead. A levite passed by and ignored the man. Then a priest came by and did the same. But a samaritan stopped, and helped him. The samaritan could have walked off, did as the world standard does, since the jews scorn the samaritans. Predjuce and hatred, social barriers, wont exist when Jesus returns 7th trump. People will conform to God's standard or go into lake of fire with satan. The priests and levites were ceremonialists, and hearers of the word. Jesus is teaching their forms of worship is a sham. Failing to respond to human or animal suffering. The righteousness deed of the samaritan is placed higher than of the HYPOCRITE religious leaders. Every citizen in kingdom of God will have the law of love, pride and arrogance is done with. On judgement day, all hateful deception will be gone. Its either the law of love or pride. Which will exist in kingdom of God ??.

I think I know the video you are talking about. The ONE, single video that is out there critical of Mackie. It sounds like it's some Irish teenage girl, if I'm thinking of the right one. Yes, there is a lot wrong with Mackie's theology. But a heretic? I don't think I'd go that far.
The main disagreement that I have is that in all of Mackie's teaching, it never becomes PERSONAL. Sin has consequences..... (long pause)..... for God's creation. We sin, and it's messing up this wonderful world that God created, and God is now working to restore it all back to the wonderful thing he made in the beginning so that we can be happy again. And our sin keeps messing up that plan, so Jesus died to take on himself all the consequences of our sin. Not our sin *itself* , but the *consequences* of that sin. And that is a BIG difference.
The message of the bible, repeated by Jesus himself is, sure, "The kingdom is at hand". But, as he also put it to the Pharisees, "Who has warned you to flee the *wrath* that is coming?" Mackie's message is devoid of the real message in the bible about sin - namely that sin incurs the *wrath* of God, and he's not going to take it out on "the kingdom of man", he is going to take it out on *YOU personally* if you do not repent and believe the Gospel. Jesus' death on the cross - the Atonement - doesn't just "absorb the consequences of sin", it also turns away the wrath of God from the sinner.
For the hundreds, thousands of years that the church has been using the term "saved", few ever stop to wonder "saved from what?" "Saved" means to be saved from the wrath of God, and Jesus' primary message to man is to flee to the cross - trust Jesus - to be saved from that wrath.
His message presents the Kingdom of Man, and the Kingdom of God, and the slow, steady collision of the two that starts out small, but will eventually spread through all of the Kingdom of Man and transform it. It's a modern day version of a theology that we used to call "Kingdom Now" theology - and you can probably google that and find all you need to know about that.
I do not know why Mackie doesn't seem to want to tell you about the wrath of God, and God's plan to spare you from it, and instead concentrate on creation, instead of mankind itself. I think he is "empire building" and wanting to attract a lot of followers, and a positive, encouraging message will be more successful. If numbers is your game, then you preach what will attract a lot of people. His lack of focus and lack of warning sinners to "flee the wrath to come" leaves them with a sense of complacency. There is no *urgency* about Jesus' imminent return, at which time those who are not believers are taken away to eternal punishment. This isn't my word. This is the word of Jesus Himself. *_"Depart from me, you accursed ones... And these shall go away into everlasting punishment"._* THAT is what is missing from Mackie's sermons. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't believe in Hell.
So, yes, you should be a little concerned. But I do not think that simply listening to his sermon is going to get you banished to the lake of fire. There are encouraging aspects of his message, and a lot of it is quite correct. But you should be a bit discerning while listening, and make sure you read ALL of the scripture he presents, not just the BITS that he presents.
@@robertzeurunkl8401 This is why I think Tim is a teacher and not a preacher. A preacher calls people to repentance, and corrects and reproves. But, a teacher leads and guides believers into a fuller understanding on how to live as a believer. A teacher and a preacher is not the same. Although one could have BOTH gifts, I think Tim has a gift to teach, but not preach.

Really? So are the parables only meant to be read by Jewish people? Then if the "plain messages" in the New Testament are so clearly meant for his disciples, why aren't those words recorded on Him saying "this is only for you my disciples." The burden of proof is on you to prove what you say. Don't just make a statement like you made without any evidence to support it.
